This season includes hilarious feel-good musical Love Me Tender featuring Elvis’ greatest hits and starring Mica Paris and Shaun Williamson, which visits the theatre in August. In November, English National Ballet return to Liverpool, this time with the beautiful Le Corsaire and WNO bring their reimagined production of Sweeney Todd to the Empire. Set during Thatcher’s term in government, WNO have put a brand new spin on this musical thriller.

Later this year there’s plenty of family entertainment with Shrek the Musical, based on the DreamWorks animation film and our fantastic family pantomime Dick Whittington with an all-star cast, the purr-fect way to celebrate Christmas!

Liverpool Empire Theatre can do more than just what appears on the stage; we have an active and forward thinking Creative Learning Department who proactively strive to generate educational opportunities for local people to engage creatively with the theatre and the performing arts.
