Prosper has long been a destination for families looking to build their homes in a community with small town values, a school district that strives for excellence and a place where your neighbors treat you like family. We are proud, we are faithful and we love our town…but our favorite part of Prosper is the people. Those that go above and beyond to make everyone around them comfortable and happy. Those that step outside the box to make Prosper a better place. Those that love our kids as much as we do and want them to be successful not only in life, but as human beings. Those that see a need and get down to business to fill it. Yes, those people… they are what makes Prosper special and unique. They are the heartbeat of our town and we want to recognize them!! We have had some wonderful and most deserving individuals recognized over the years as Prosper’s Person of the Year – Dr. Drew Watkins, Jennifer Sanchez, Greg Wright and Stuart Blasingame. Every year we reflect on how incredible our town and its residents are and how hard it will be to get 5-6 new nominees that were as good as the prior year…but WE ARE PROSPER, and of course we always have more!! There are so many people that work behind the scenes making this is the best community in America, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them and all of their hard work and dedication. This year, we will be accepting nominations online through December 16th. We will then announce all of the nominees in the January 2017 issue – and we’ll open up online voting for our readers’ favorites on January 1, 2017. Readers will be able to vote online through January 15, and those votes will narrow down the field to the top 4. We will then highlight those individuals in the February issue…as well as announce our winner - 2016 Prosper Person of the Year!!
