To edit and develop your profile content, click on “Me” in top right of screen, then “view profile,” then “edit public profile and URL,” then “edit contents”
Add/edit profile sections: “Intro, about, featured, background, skills, accomplishments, additional information, and supported languages”
Your “about” section should provide a brief glimpse of who you are including insight into your personality, values, experience, interests, and goals for your career path.
Add/edit sub-sections: Featured- posts, articles, links (to personal websites, social media etc.), media (ie. upload your resume); Background- work experience, education, licenses and certifications, volunteer experience; Accomplishments- publications, patents, courses, projects, honors and awards, test scores, languages, organizations; Additional information- request a recommendation
The more detail you add for each section- the more your profile will stand out to employers and connections!
This is your opportunity to showcase experiences and accomplishments that you can’t necessarily fit on your resume.
Highlight major accomplishments of professional experiences including
Adding experience
numbers to quantify as often as possible.
Highlight job responsibilities, leadership, and event participation where applicable.
Describe responsibilities for volunteer work and internships just as you would work experience.
Incorporate “action verbs” to begin experience descriptions: “Collaborated with staff and faculty to lead over 15 career development workshops throughout the course of one semester.”
