How to get to Little Moons HQ?

The chances are that you will have attended Mission Control for your interview. But if you haven’t, here is some useful information.

Our address Mission Control address is 6A Willen Field Road, London, NW10 7AQ, UK The nearest stations are • Harlesden (Bakerloo line & London Overground), 10 minute walk • Willesden Junction (London Overground), 20 minute walk • Park Royal (Piccadilly Line), 25 minute walk We also have free parking, so if you have a car, bike, motorbike or scooter – you are more than welcome to use our spaces.

The following bus routes also run very close to us 187, 224, 226, 260, 440 and 487.

Once you're in one of the team will meet you in reception.

We do have limited car parking facilities on site too, plus bicycle parking and electric car charging facilities.

Apprehension is of course normal, but we’re here to allay some common fears and hopefully reduce your worries by outlining some of the things you can expect here at Little Moons.

We pride ourselves at Little Moons on offering an amazing onboarding programme for you.

We are always looking for ways to improve so if you can think of anything then please do let us know!

PEOPLE HR Before your first day, you will receive a welcome email from our HR system ‘People HR’. Please set up an account and update your: 1.

We have sent you a presentation showing you how to update all your information on People HR and how to use the system to request holiday and read and sign documents.

LOGBOOK Please fill out the New Starter Form in the logbook section by finding it in the dropdown menu and clicking ‘+’ to add a new form.

Please also fill out the ‘Further details’ section of the logbook.

SIGN YOUR CONTRACT Your contract is in your People HR account, please E-sign this before you start.

RIGHT TO WORK AND PASSPORT Please also bring your passport and any right to work documents you may need on your first day.

Your First Day… What time to arrive? On your first day we ask that you arrive for 9.30am. Your normal working day will start at 9am but on your first day you will want to have a little time to explore the area.

Access on your first day - You will receive an entry fob on your first day with us but until then will need to buzz up to gain access to the building. Please press the buzzer to the right hand side of the front door.

To exit the building without a fob you will need to press the green button to the right hand side of the door as you exit.

What next? - We know you are coming and the team have all been looking forward to you joining us. You will be met by our wonderful People Team who will be more than happy to tell you where you can make coffee, hang your coat and show you where the toilets are.

Office Tour - At some point on your first day, you’ll be taken for a tour of the office and buildings and you will be introduced to many people.

This is your first chance to meet everyone who you’ll be working with and alongside during your time at Little Moons.

COMMON FEARS FOR YOUR FIRST WEEK Fear 1: Everyone will ignore me.

Of course they won’t!

When you join Little Moons you will quickly see we act as a family.

Everyone will be happy to help, have a chat and get to know you.

Fear 2: I’m never going to remember who’s who and what they do, they’ll think I’m an idiot.

No they won’t. In your first few weeks, you will forget names and what people do. People understand that and won’t be annoyed if you say something like: “I’m sorry I can’t quite remember your name” or “Can you remind me what you do again?”. It was what they did in their first week after all.

But in order to help you we have produced a Little Moons Family Album with all our team members photos and job titles in it – this will be your go-to item for the coming weeks.

If you are office-based and can’t remember where anyone sits then again don’t worry – an office seating map is also included in your onboarding.

COMMON FEARS FOR YOUR FIRST WEEK Fear 3: I won’t have a clue what I’m supposed to do and will be left alone to get on with it.

No-one knows what they are supposed to do on their first day!

Your first week will be about learning the ropes and your new team members will be on hand to offer help and advice, as well as answer your questions so don’t panic about that.

Forms, forms and more forms. You’ve just started and so HR needs to capture important information, such as your bank details for your salary payments, your NI number, and ID. Please make sure you bring your ID (passport/driving licence) with you on your first day, along with any working visas you may need.

PLEAES NOTE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START WORK WITH US UNTIL THESE HAVE BEEN SEEN AND COPIED. Once you’re up and running, your line manager will run through some work with you and get you started on something. Don’t be afraid to ask questions at this point so you can familiarise yourself with your duties and how Little Moons does things.

COMMON FEARS FOR YOUR FIRST WEEK Fear 4: What to wear, what to wear, what to wear…….

What do I wear is one of the most common concerns for new joiners. We have a relaxed dress culture here at Little Moons and ask you please to just dress in accordance with any meetings you may have that day.

Very simply, we want you to be yourself and express your own individual style (and any religious or cultural traditions).

COMMON FEARS FOR YOUR FIRST WEEK

Fear 5: What will I do at lunch time? Will I be left by myself?

Nope! As we said, we are a team here and you will have lunch with them. Normally on your first day we will have a team lunch together, and there might even be some cake or mochi!

We have a number of eating places around us, along with sandwich shops and supermarkets. If you wish to bring a pack lunch there are fridges for you to store them in, plus we have microwaves for hot food.

Note - we don’t have cooking facilities onsite.
