MyUNLV provides students, faculty, and staff with online information and selfservice capabilities 24-hours a day. New to UNLV in 2010, the system allows you to input grades, communicate important information, and assist students with their business needs. Faculty will input semester grades for students and locate student information, such as e-mail addresses, from within MyUNLV. Students can use MyUNLV to access personal data, register for classes, check grades, apply for financial aid, and much more. MyUNLV uses the NSHE (Nevada System of Higher Education) ID number for identification.
OIT’s IT Help Desk helps reset passwords but is not equipped at this time to help with the use of MyUNLV. Please check out the tutorials available within the system, or visit the website aboutmyunlv.unlv.edu for more information. If settings for your courses need adjustments, please consult with your department’s administrative staff or access the help tools available online.
Your department is responsible for allocating funds to purchase new employee computers. Vendors like Dell and Apple offer significant discounts to UNLV. You can get help with computers through the IT Help Desk and through OIT’s website. We help with:
• Minimum computer specification recommendations
• Set up of the computer
• Hardware repair including provisions for temporary replacements when computers break unexpectedly
NOTE: We do our best to provide quality service for UNLV-tagged computers. To service your personal computer or laptop, please consult your vendor or local repair shop for assistance.

3. Follow your department’s purchasing procedures.
4. Technicians will call to schedule a set-up appointment once UNLV Property Control tags the computer and delivers it to OIT.
NOTE: Be sure to request at least a 3 year warranty on computer purchases.
Companies other than your computer vendor often offer much better deals on accessories. For example, CDWG and Boise/Office Max may sell scanners or printers at lower prices. These products are not supported by OIT beyond the manufacturer’s warranty.
