We create thoughtful design, objects and textiles, compassionately hand-crafted with earth and people friendly materials. As a studio focused on consciousness we are dedicated to sharing our practices and products with customers all around the world. In addition to our own brand, we offer private label new product development globally.

April Nemeth Atelier is a multi-disciplinary design and manufacturing studio founded by April Nemeth in 2005, focused at the intersection of art and product development.

Under the studio, in 2008, April founded the successful Los Angeles based brand Little Korboose (pronounced KORboose) or "LK", a thoughtful collection of objects and textiles with roots deep in environmental and social good. With consciousness at the core, all objects are carefully designed and manufactured to guarantee they are of the highest quality and produced in a sustainable, ethical manner. Merchandise can be found in homes around the world.

Our beautiful custom coats feature our hand drawn patterns combined with solid black and white cotton. Each coat is fully lined with contrast cotton for a pop. Our original hand drawn patterns are printed with non-toxic ink on natural unbleached cotton. These designs are part of our Apparel collection, featuring a modern take the classic coat.

Our ceramics are thoughtfully designed and manufactured using classical and modern techniques. With a diverse skill set ranging from hand building to wheel throwing to slip casting to machine pressing and hand decorating, in addition to our own label, we offer custom private label ceramics to strategic partners on a niche and mass market level.

Our earthy and elegant dinnerware features our hand drawn patterns on warm white, warm black and terracotta clay. Our original motifs are hand drawn with permanent underglaze on natural clay and finished with glossy clear glaze to allow for use with food. These pieces are part of our Ceramics collection, featuring our modern take on classic dinnerware.

At April Nemeth Atelier, we are passionate about creativity. We finish what we start and start what we finish — literally. Along with our production capabilities, we have a wide creative skill set ranging from strategy to graphic design to branding to three dimensional design to illustration and photography. We are able to generate custom original works for strategic partners on an ongoing basis.

Sixteen years after founding the company, April is still principal designer on each project, while simultaneously driving the greater vision of her business and brand.

About THE FOUNDER

April Nemeth is a Los Angeles based artist, designer and entrepreneur.

From a family of creative entrepreneurs and intensely hard workers, April got her start as an artist at a young age and works in a variety of mediums. Her grandfather taught her how to paint at age 3. She attended the NASAD accredited Visual Communication Design School at Kent and holds a MA/BFA in 2D and 3D Swiss Visual Communication Design, yielding a combined degree in graphic design, photography and illustration. While there, April fell in love with modern design and architecture traces of which can be seen in her work. With wanderlust and a connection to Mother Earth in her DNA, travel and nature serve as constant sources of inspiration. Sixteen years after founding the company, she still creates every LK design herself, while simultaneously driving the vision.

Recent LK partners of note include West Elm, Concrete Collaborative and Toki Mats. April’s work has been featured in various publications over the years, most recently, Dwell, Vogue and GRAY magazine.

In addition to leading her brand of home and lifestyle objects at Little Korboose, April practices at her multi-disciplinary atelier where she creates strategy, design and photography for clients with aligned values whenever possible.

Prior to dedicating herself to her practices full time, April worked as a professional designer then design director for a multi-billion dollar creative products company for 13 years, absorbing all she could and making her an expert collaborator. Her passion for creativity has driven her to wear many hats in the field and gain experience and seniority as a graphic designer, content creator, textile

designer, product developer, design director, creative director and business owner. In tandem, she has devoted much of her life to pursuing interests that help protect our planet and the people on it.

Last but not least, April is a lifelong world traveler and holds a certification in Yoga and Meditation. Merging her formal education and experiences, in 2018, she founded the creative retreat company Juniper & Stone, where she combines art, travel and yoga to curate transformative experiences for individuals, groups and businesses. All proceeds are contributed to the communities in which the retreats take place in an effort to give back.
