Do I need to get in the water with my child?
Stages 1-7 will not require a parent to be in the pool. Parents are required to come into the pool for lessons with babies and toddlers. This not only makes the experience enjoyable for the swimmer but helps strengthen the bond between you and your child.

Frequently Asked Questions
My child has additional needs. What do you offer?
We have a team of experienced teachers. Some of our instructors will be experienced SEND swim teachers who work with needs including but not exclusive to autism, ADHD, global delay, down’s syndrome, anxiety disorders, fear of water and those with other learning difficulties. Please let us know during registration if your child has any additional needs that need to be considered.
What training do the teachers have?
All of our teachers are Level 2 ASA Swim Teaching qualified. Some of our teachers are experienced swimmers too.
Do you have a waitlist for the Swim School?
We do operate a waitlist on fully booked classes. Please speak to a member of the team, who will be able to advise on the length of the waitlist and also will be able to suggest alternatives to suit your requirements.
How big will the classes be?
Classes will have 4 students and 1 teacher. For the baby and toddler classes, there are 8 children (each with their accompanying adult) and 1 teacher.
How many classes will be happening at once?
The Swim School pool will be split into 3 sections for lessons.
How quickly will my child progress?
Every child will develop and learn at different speeds, so patience and an understanding are needed. The more often you can take your child into the water the more familiar they will become and can practise. Our teachers will constantly assess in each lesson. We expect each child to move up into a new stage at least once a year.
Will my child be assessed before starting?
We strongly advise parents allow us to assess their child as the teachers can more accurately gauge their development needs and place accordingly. However, this will not be mandatory. If your child is in the incorrect Lesson Stage, we will move them.
How can I see my child’s progress?
We will have an app where you can login to and see the progress they are making with each lesson.
