GOODISON CIDER MILL Start your trip at Goodison . It is a quick stop with delicious cherry glaze donuts, cider, and famous pistachio bread.

PAINT CREEK CIDER MILL Literally across the street from Goodison, Paint Creek Cider Mill is off the Paint Creek Trail (good for walking and biking). Not only can you get cider and donuts, you can order a complete lunch.

ROCHESTER CIDER MILL Rochester Cider Mill is a winner. The sprinkle donut was a hit with the kids (and probably my favorite) and there are other flavors too. The cider slushy was delicious. Outside, there are pumpkins (to purchase and for pictures) and a little area for kids to run around.

YATES CIDER MILL The runaway LittleGuide favorite, Yates Cider Mill is very popular and busy – prepare yourself for a line. End your day in Rochester relaxing under the trees or at a picnic table – there is plenty of seating.

WHEN YOU NEED A CHANGE OF PACE, BUT DON'T WANT TO GO FAR - HEAD WEST AND CHECK OUT GRAND RAPIDS. Western Michigan's metropolitan center is a great trip any time of year but when you plan a visit for the Fall, you get to enjoy the larger-than-life ArtPrize. The international art competition, ArtPrize, takes over the city of Grand Rapids from September 15th to October 2nd. Public venues from parks and bridges, to restaurants and office spaces are transformed into artist galleries, pop-up events, dance parties, and family art-making activities the whole family will love! ArtPrize is just one reason to visit Grand Rapids in the Fall, here are some of our other favorite activities to do while there.

Grand Rapids Children's Museum The Pigeon is coming to Grand Rapids' Children's Museum! Visit the whimsical world of your favorite story book at The Pigeon Comes to Grand Rapids: A Mo Willems Exhibit this Fall. Kids can have hilarious conversations with their favorite characters, make old time

animations, try art techniques and play games inspired by the popular books at the temporary exhibit on display from September 2022 to January 2023. In addition to the special exhibition, the Children's Museum is home to a dozen other hands-on activation spaces including Rapid River Farm, The Spin Zone, Train Table and more!

John Ball Zoo Find more life-size art at John Ball Zoo's temporary exhibit, Washed Ashore. Discover 16 large and colorful sculptures made from trash collected from the ocean - it's a great photo opportunity and learning lesson for kids as they explore the grounds and visit animals.

Deer Track Junction Adventure Park It's non-stop family fun at Deer Track Junction. They have it all - a petting farm, car safari, adventure playgrounds, sand pits, animal feedings, and more. The kids will spend so much time running around, they'll have no problem falling asleep at bedtime.

The two-story interactive museum is great for all ages.

THE HENRY FORD MUSEUM (DEARBORN) The Henry Ford is a timeless favorite. From trains and tractors, to airplanes and lots of cars, The Henry Ford offers hands-on fun for all ages. The newest addition to the museum, Driven to Win: Racing in America, is truly a must-see for all families.

SLOAN MUSEUM (FLINT) Add the Sloan Museum of Discovery to your mustvisit list. The Museum has 5 hands-on areas with different focuses to engage kids of all ages and interests. Stand-out favorites are the amazing water table (with waterfall) & indoor three-story treehouse.

The best thing about fall in Michigan is the changing colors. So pack up the kids for a road trip on the most beautiful drives (and weekend getaways) in Michigan! M-25 (around the thumb) Take M-25 from Port Huron, past Lexington and all the way around the thumb, through Port Austin to Bay City for a drive full of fall colors and picturesque views of Lake Huron. Red Arrow Highway Take a drive along Lake Michigan to explore quaint coastal villages, such as Union Pier and St. Joseph. This area is known for its agriculture with plenty of U-pick farms, like Nye’s Apple Barn, that is the perfect pit stop for pie, cider, and more fresh treats! Keweenaw Peninsula Scenic Drive Travel through dense forests and quaint towns to Copper Harbor to take in the stunning view of Michigan’s fall colors and Lake Superior. From Copper Harbor, enjoy the 9.5 mile Brockway Mountain Drive around Lake Superior, the highest above sea-level drive between the Rockies and Alleghenies and an official Michigan Wildlife Viewing Area. The Western (most U.P.) CR 513 leads from the small town of Bessemer to the Lake Superior shore. Once a wagon supply route to the area’s iron mines, the 15-mile route could easily be overlooked, is surrounded by one million acres of the Ottawa National Forest and it is an explosion of color in the fall. M22 This famed stretch offers 116 miles of Lake Michigan’s picturesque coast - from Manistee to Traverse City. Road trippers can make a pit stop at must-see Michigan destinations, including Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Inspiration Point, and Point Betsie Lighthouse.

Start a new holiday tradition and take a walk down Tillson Street in Romeo this Halloween season. Throughout the month of October, the houses on Tillson Street in Romeo are elaborately decorated for Halloween. Visit during the day or get a fright at night and admire the spooktacular Halloween displays. Each year thousands of people flock to the neighborhood and on Halloween night from 6pm to 8pm kids can come out for trick or treating. Street parking is available and Croswell Elementary School (175 Croswell St, Romeo, MI 48065) has a parking lot and is located 1 block away from Tillson St.
