The W&RSETA has opened a Discretionary Grant Funding Window for 2020/2021 to allow small, medium and large levy-paying companies to apply for funding for the following interventions:

• Bursaries for continuing students; • Bursaries for new, unemployed students; • Unemployed learnerships at NQF levels 2-5 or occupational programmes in line with the sector’s hardto-fill vacancies (HTFV); • Learnerships for the unemployed at NQF levels 2-5 or part qualifications in line with the HTFV; • Skills programmes for unemployed learners at NQF levels 2-5 or part qualifications in line with the sector’s HTFV; • Graduate placements for students from TVET colleges and HET institutions to gain workplace experience for a period of 12 months; and • Internships for TVET college students to gain workplace experience in order to obtain their qualifications (N6 students) for a period of 18 months
