Varga István is a distinguished Hungarian cellist. He completedhiseducationattheLisztFerencAcademyin Budapest, the Belgrade Conservatory, and the Paris Conservatory István studied cello under Viktor Jakovcic, Mező László of the Bartók Quartet, André Navarra, and Maurice Gendron, while also studying chamber music with Rados Ferenc and Kurtág György He founded and directed the Camerata Chamber Orchestra and the Goldberg Trio, both of which quickly gainedinternationalacclaim.AsthedirectoroftheNovi Sad Festival, he organized significant international chamber music festivals and performed regularly. Numerous renowned composers composed works for him, and he received the Yugoslav Composers' AssociationPrize
He performs in the most esteemed concert venues, including London's Wigmore Hall, Paris's Gaveau Hall, and Moscow's Rachmaninov Hall. DR BANDA ÁDÁM is an exceptional Hungarian violinist who entered the Music Talent Class at the Liszt Ferenc Conservatory at the age of 13, where he studied under PerényiEszterandultimatelyearnedhisdoctoratefromthe Liszt Conservatory in 2018. He has garnered remarkable achievementsinnumerouscompetitionsbothdomestically and internationally Between 1998 and 2003, he secured victories in three national competitions in Hungary In 2003, he was awarded the first prize at the Carl Flesch International Violin Competition. The competition has two major categories: Professional Group and Open Group Students from music colleges or affiliated primary and secondary schools can only register for the Professional Group, while students from non-music academies can choose to register for either the Professional Group or the Open Group.
The Singapore auditions are conducted through video submissions, and the Asia/Europe finals will be held on-site and scored by the organizing committee's jury.
After registration and video submission, within 5 working days, participants will receive their scores along with a detailed evaluation report provided by the independent jury of the Liszt Ferenc International Music Elite Program, as well as an e-certificate of participation Based on the scoring results, participants who receive the Elite Award or Gold Award will be invited to compete in the Asia Finals, and their teachers or institutions will also receive an e-certificate Additionally, Elite Award recipients/groups will be granted a scholarship of SGD 1,000 from the Liszt Ferenc International Music Elite Program to support their participation in the Asia Finals.
The Competition organizing committee and the independent jury of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music will announce the Elite Prize and Gold Prize winners from the Professional and Open Groups and invite them to perform at the award ceremony (7th Jun 2025). The other prizes (Silver and Bronze) will be announced within 5 working days via email notification. Certificates and trophies will be mailed to the winners in Singapore
The competition and awards ceremony will be held in Budapest, Hungary, from *August 1 to 7, 2025. The Professional Group final competition will take place in the concert hall of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, while the Open Group competition will be held in Nádor Hall in Budapest. The competition organizing committee and the independent jury of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music will annnounce all the prize winners from the Professional and Open Groups, for each instrument and category, on the spot. Certificates and trophies will be awarded during the ceremony.

At the beginning of the video recording, the contestant needs to announce his/her name, group and the names of the pieces (no other self-introduction is required);
2 The contestant’s entire body should be in the video, and the contestant’s hands and face must be clearly visible.
Choose landscape mode when recording, MP4 or MOV format. Video submission link must be generated via YouTube or Google Drive. Video title naming standard: Liszt Music Elite + contestant name + group.
3. It is not mandatory to perform from memory in the national auditions, but it is required in the Asia/Europe finals.
4 It is recommended that contestants wear formal attire or performance clothing when participating in the video recording.
5. During the entire recording process, portraits, images and sounds MUST NOT be modified, and the sound and image must be synchronized.

For the Singapore audition round, contestants (except for pianists) must prepare their own instruments, and they are not entitled to make special requests regarding instruments provided by the organizing committee. For the Asia/Europe finals, the committee can provide cello and double bass rentals, with rental fees borne by the contestants.
Contestants must strictly abide by the provisions of this regulation and must not engage in fraud or other improper activities. Violators will be disqualified by the organizing committee, and any awards or rankings will be revoked.
To ensure the transparency of the competition, contestants agree to have their results, names, ages, and registered competition categories published on the official competition website. The entire competition will be open to the public. 3
Contestants must agree to grant the organizers of this competition the right to use, free of charge, their performances in all rounds of the competition, award concerts, post-competition concerts, and any activities organized by the host. This authorization extends to the organizers, hosting units, sponsors, partners, broadcasting stations, TV stations, online media, photography agencies, as well as audio and video producers and publishers. They may use the materials for publicity, photography, audio and video recording, broadcasting, online dissemination, production, exhibition, and global distribution of related audiovisual albums and photo collections. The copyright of the resulting audio-visual products and derivatives shall belong to the main organizer, and no additional compensation will be paid to the contestants.
2. The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Elite Program All Instruments Competition Organizing Committee strongly recommends that contestants purchase personal and property damage insurance at their own expense. The committee is not responsible for any property loss or personal injury suffered by contestants, any harm caused to others (whether physical, material, or psychological), or any harm caused by accompanying persons to themselves or others.
3. In the event of any issues not covered in these regulations, the final interpretation and decision shall rest with the competition’s organizing committee.
4. Compliance with the competition rules is the responsibility of each participant. Submission of an application is considered as agreement to and acceptance of all the terms in this document. Contestants who violate the regulations during the competition will be disqualified, their awards and certificates will be revoked, and they will bear all resulting expenses themselves.
5. The organizing committee shall not be held responsible if the competition cannot proceed due to force majeure events, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, or political factors.
6. The registration fee is non-refundable after payment. If a contestant cannot participate due to personal reasons, the organizing committee will handle the situation at its discretion upon submission of valid proof.
7. The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Elite Program All Instruments Competition Organizing Committee reserves the right of final interpretation of these regulations.
8. All regional competition arrangements and updates shall be subject to the latest official announcements published on the competition’s public platform.
