Isaac Ree was named class salutatorian. The son of Wendy and William Pander, East Palestine; and Daniel Ree, he received an Incentive Scholarship. Ree plans to attend Youngstown State University. The first honor student was Alex Dumbauld, son of Dr. Mark and Lana Dumbauld, East Palestine. He played golf, baseball, basketball, was a member of the band and Columbiana County Youth Coalition. His awards include National Honor Society, Leadership Award for golf, Inter-Tri County League golf first team, Basketball Defensive Player of the Year, and student of the month. He will major in mechanical engineering at The Ohio State University. Christopher Eichler, son of Ronald and Sally Eichler, Negley, was also named an honor student. His extracurriculars included soccer, baseball, band, Rotary soccer coach, and Camp Kon-o-Kwee counselor. He received an Incentive Scholarship and graduation honors. Eichler will study business administration at Youngstown State Univer-
sity. Bryn McElroy was also an honor student graduate. She is the daughter of Eric and Darlene McElroy, East Palestine. A four year member and three year letter for track, she was also on the yearbook staff, student school board representative, and Country Hands 4-H Club president. Along with National Honor Society, which she served as vice president, her academic awards include Incentive Scholarship, student of the month, and Heads Above the Rest. McElroy plans to major in speech-language pathology at Miami University of Ohio. Also graduating as a honor student was Mark Ortega, son of Britt Ortega and Leonard Ortega, East Palestine. He was involved in soccer, band, tennis and Drama Club. Her academic awards include National Honor Society and an Incentive Scholarship. Ortega will attend The Ohio State University to major in engineering.
