Booking procedures How to book Colour zones 1. Blue Zone – Blyth, Cramlington and Seaton Valley Including Blyth Sports Centre, Concordia Leisure Centre, The Sporting Club of Cramlington, The Sporting Club of Blyth, Northburn Sports and Community Centre and Seaton Valley area.

2. Green Zone – Ashington, Newbiggin and Bedlington Including Ashington Leisure Centre, Newbiggin Sports and Community Centre, and the Bedlington Area.

3. Red Zone – Morpeth Including Pegasus Centre at Tranwell and Morpeth Area.

Booking procedures Turn Up Sessions in all zones 1.

These activities work on a turn up and play basis. The registration form at the back of the brochure must be completed and handed in at the start of each session you are attending.

Must Book Sessions in the blue zone (Blyth, Cramlington and Seaton Valley area) and red zone (Morpeth area).

Pirates Beach Party at Cramlington Town Square (Manor Walks/Concordia Grass) 11am – 3pm Come along dressed as a pirate to our beach party on the grass between Manor Walks and Concordia Leisure Centre. Activities may include bungee trampoline, facepainting, competitions for best pirates, and many more fun games

Aiming High BBQ Bonanza Slaley Hall, NE47 0BX 11am – 3pm Come and join the team at the magnificent Slaley Hall for a BBQ with a difference. A whole host of activities will be available on the day such as Laser Battlefield, Bungee Trampoline, Climbing Wall and a Hawk Display Team.

Monday 01 August Beach Bonanza at Cambois Beach 1pm – 3pm 8yrs + Make-a-Move (Blue Zone) and Sure Start are providing summer sizzler fun days for all the family at various locations throughout week two.

Come and try our treasure hunt, roadshows, Sure Start Play Bus or many more fun games and activities.

Get your facepainted on the days for £2 and reach for the sky with our bungee trampoline for £1 for three minutes.

Wednesday 3rd August “Pirates of the Buccaneer” to be held at Charlton's Pub, Cambois 11am -3pm Free Fun packed day for all of the family. Some of the activities will include natural play, sport; face painting, mini pony rides and more!!!

Saturday 06 August and Saturday 27 August Aiming High Tyne River Cruise Aiming High for Disabled Children would like to invite you and your family to a cruise along the river Tyne. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city to a place where you can take in Newcastle Gateshead's finest and most famous riverside scenery.

Come dressed as a pirate or sailor and enjoy the on-board disco and Animal Antics. You are guaranteed to have the time of your life!

The cruise will depart from the Newcastle Quayside. The boats have great disabled access and both accommodate wheelchairs. We look forward to seeing you there!

It is expected that there will be a high demand for this event. Places will therefore be given on a first come first served basis.

Boys and girls from 8 to 16 years old are invited to try out table tennis during the 6 weeks summer holiday.

Cramlington Table Tennis Club, in partnership with Newcastle United Foundation and the Premier League 4 Sport programme, are holding taster sessions each Wednesday morning, 10.00 to 12.00, at the Sporting Club Cramlington. Just turn up at any, or all, of the sessions. Coaching is available.

Fancy a challenge during the Summer Holidays….?

If you are into skating or blading you will love these new style boards. The two-plate design challenges your technique and balance.

Beginners welcome! Boards and protective equipment are provided but please note we have limited boards. These sessions will run on a first come first served basis. Participants must be over 10 years old.

During the Summer School Holidays ASDA will be offering free children's sport sessions!

Visit your local ASDA store and ask for a Sporting Chance Voucher at the checkout. Once you have received your voucher visit www.asda-sportingchance.co.uk and enter your postcode.

Find a session that you would like to attend, and then call the session provider on the booking number listed on the website quoting “ASDA Sporting Chance” – all you need to do is then turn up at your chosen session, present your voucher and enjoy.”

Come and try some course fishing at South East Northumberland's premier fishery, this fishery has produced lots of 20 pound fish this year.

12 years to Adult £8 per person BVAL are teaming up with The Hirst Park Trout Ticklers (Northumberlands only fishing club to hold ADB Clubmark Status) to give the opportunity to come and try 2 hrs of fly fishing for trout, participants will have the opportunity to keep one trout that they catch.

Skiing Instruction

This is a six week course teaching you the basics of golf; including putting, chipping, pitching and full swing shots. The final session will give you the opportunity to test your skills learned with a full 18 holes around Longhirst golf course. * The total cost of the six week programme is £15 and can only be booked as a full programme.

That is vital, as without a parent/guardian the youngsters will not be allowed to take part.

Camping at Kielder Thursday 25th – Friday 26th August Come and enjoy this camping trip to Hawkhirst campsite at Kielder. Participants will take part in a range of activities both days including teambuilding, cycling, archery and camp craft with an overnight stay. Food will be provided however participants are asked to bring a packed lunch for the first day (Please inform us of any specific dietary requirements). You need to bring a packed lunch and water with you for day one, we will prepare a BBQ for our tea and continental breakfast for the morning (please let us know if you have any dietary needs). Snorkelling Course

Wacky Weekdays:

A wide range of fun and activities with the morning madness coaches.

Interested in learning to snorkel for your holidays? A 4 day Course open available to children who can swim 25m confidently. Book today to avoid disappointment!

A fully supervised action packed day, filled with activities such as: football, dodgeball, racket sports, arts and crafts, virtual dance mats and more. Weather permitting activities will take place in and outdoors. Bring a packed lunch! All this for a wacky cost and use of the pool (inflatable on wed) 3.00pm4.00pm.

Adult Learn To Swim Course Adult Learn to swim is a 4 day Course giving adults (11+) the opportunity to come along and learn how to swim or to improve technique.

Soft Play Aqua Fun Course This is a great course available to children who can swim 25m confidently. Come along and try lifeguard training, snorkelling, team games and waterskills.

Bumpas Fun Club (Children aged 5-8 years old) Based in our Nursery, an ideal chance for smaller children to experience a range of games and activities with children of a similar age and size. All children receive a name badge on entry and the session is fully supervised. Children in this club are not allowed in the swimming pool and should be met by their parents in the foyer at the end of each session.

* Learn to Swim A great opportunity to help your child gain confidence in the water in this intensive week course. Designed for children aged 6 years & upwards. Book today at reception.

Pool Stamina Training Want to improve your fitness? This session is ideal for building your stamina.

You must have a 25m badge.

Snorkelling This is an excellent class available to children who can SWIM 25M CONFIDENTLY. Please ensure children are here 15mins prior to this session.

Our soft play sessions will be open for children under the height of 1.2metres.

Wacky Weekdays – Juniors: Fun sport and play activities for children 57yrs, ranging from playground classics to arts and craft and team games. The sessions are fully supervised come along and join our exciting new 2 hour sessions.

Teen Gym This is a chance to access the gym and find out how to use the equipment. A qualified gym instructor will supervise the session. Before using the gym you must have an induction in this allocated time.

Water Walkerz Ever thought about walking on water? Well now you can, thanks to our new Water Walkerz! Not only can you walk on water, you can run, jump and flip.

*Trampoline Coaching These sessions are led by a qualified instructor and are designed to give youngsters the opportunity to experience trampolining. All children must wear socks & if possible, comfortable clothing. It is recommended that you bring a drink. No cans please!

Make-a-Move Activity descriptions Archery

Bowls

Are you the new Robin Hood? Wear warm clothes and a long sleeve top.

Ever fancied giving bowls a try? The bowls club on Renwick Road in Blyth are running a six week course on Friday afternoon 2 – 4pm. On the last week use your new skills in a match against North Tyneside.

Beach Games Come along and join Make-a-Move team for a morning of sport, play and games.

Activities included will be football, cricket, American football, baseball and many more. Bring sun cream, towel and snacks.

All family members are welcome of all ages.

Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bike Adventure We will provide transport from Ashington Leisure Centre departing 9am prompt and 9.20am from Morpeth Leisure Centre.

You should be back no later than 4pm.

You need to be able to ride a bike without support and for longer than 45 minutes, we will provide you with bikes and helmets. You need to bring water, packed lunch, water/windproof clothing, a spare top and sun cream. Please do not wear jeans. You might want to put it all in small backpack.

Bike Skills This sessions would be a fun way to practice part of the biking fundamentals for biking off road/mountain biking, aimed for the confident and non confident beginners to intermediate junior bikers, Come and try our range of different level challenges, have a FUNdamentally good day with us, learn a bit more about bikeskills and or challenge yourself to see how good and stylish you are on our different skills tests and set courses. Most definitively a session to attend in preparation for longer routes and bike adventures. Come and wheel with us!!!

Boot Camp Festival Take part in our exciting outdoors day including challenging yourself on our assault course. There will be certificates for everyone who attends and prizes for the boot campers.

Cricket With the cricket season in full swing, come and join in with cricket coaching.

Whether you are a beginner or expert there is still plenty to learn from our full time cricket coach. Wear suitable clothing and bring a drink and snack with you.

Diddy Camp Diddy Camp is a fun session for younger children activities include: Boxing, craft, multi skills, soft play, parachute, diddy soccer and other team games.

Dodgeball Duck, Dodge, Dive, and defend!

It is exciting and entertaining and a great sport to play with friends.

Dodgeball Sports Roadshow The Dodgeball Tournament is a great, fun opportunity, for both males and females aged 6-16 to develop fundamentals for sports including teamwork, co-ordination, agility, speed, stamina and overall fitness.

Dodgeball teams consist of 5 members, it's fine if you can't get a team of five together, just turn up on the day. Through participating in one of the many dodgeball events across the area, participants will meet new people and stay healthy across the summer. There are three categories, under 12, 14 and 16. Bring along lots of water, some sun block and wear sporty clothes.

Fun Football Camp Come along and learn new skills & take part in fun games and tournaments.

Get Into Golf This is a six week course teaching you the basics of golf including putting, chipping, pitching and full swing shots. The final session will give you the opportunity to test your skills, with a full 18 holes around Longhirst golf course. Total cost of this programme is ÂŁ15 per person fully inclusive of equipment and course fees.

You are highly recommended to bring a drink and suitable clothing for all weather conditions.

Mini Camp Mini Camp is for children 5-7yrs to come along and join in with a wide range of exciting activities. These activities are designed to encourage first step into sport developing fundamental skills with qualified coaches. Activities include mini football, multi skills and many more. Children must wear comfortable suitable clothing to participate in the activities.

Multi Sports Club Take part in street sports activities including football and basketball. During these sessions we will be running small sided games and tournaments

Outdoor Family Climbing Day Come and enjoy with us the great world of the outdoors, we would be climbing in one of the most amazing places of the North East.

This day is for the whole and family and at least one member of the family attending needs to be over 18 years of age.

We would provide you with all necessary equipment all you need to do is book on the day!!!

Paddle Sport Family This is an opportunity for the whole family to come and experience this exciting water sport either in canoes or in Kayaks.

Juniors under the age of 12 would not be accepted without a parent.

Play Roadshow All sessions offer a range of sporting and purposeful play activities in a safe, fun and friendly environment. These sessions also provide a taster into play and various sports, and give young people the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new friends and most importantly have an enjoyable time.

Equipment for all sessions will be provided.

This is an opportunity to attend a Fun session with our qualified coaches, they will develop and improve your sport skills, through a range of challenges, tasks and games.

Culminating in a Dodgeball Tournament (Friday 2nd September). This is to dispute the 1st Make-a-Move 3 district title and see who can dodge third and second place to become the first holder of the title. Come and get training tennis whatever is your ability our team will coach you to get started and who knows you might discover one of you hidden talents! Come and join us at Carlisle Park every Tuesday to practice your skills for a social tournament on 30 August.

Street Hockey Come along and learn the slap shot and many other skills using street hockey sticks and pucks.

Ability To Play Descriptions A2P Adventure Day Come and have a fun packed day out at the Manor House Adventure Centre. The day will include activities such as rifle shooting, toboggan run, bouldering, dino pedal carts and more. Are you up for an all out adventure?

Bus will pick up 9.00am from Blyth Sports Centre and return approx 16.00. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing.

A BBQ lunch is provided (please inform us of any dietary requirements).

A2P Alan Shearer Centre Tuesday 26 July, Tuesday 09 August and Tuesday 23 August.

Splash in the hydro pool, dive in the ball pool or unwind in the sensory room, take advantage of all the Alan Shearer Centre has to offer. Limited accessible transport is available for wheelchair users, parents must accompany children to this activity. Don't forget your swimwear and towel.

Bus pick up times are Swan Centre (Berwick) at 9.15am, Willowburn Centre (Alnwick) at 10am and Blyth Sports Centre at 11am. Drop off times. Activities include Hydro pool; Ball pool; Wii and music room; Blue sensory arts and crafts.

A2P Archery Have you got what it takes to be on target in our archery sessions? Open to all including those requiring the use of a wheelchair. A reasonable level of upper body strength and coordination is required to take part in this session.

Waveboarding If you are into skating or blading you will love these new styles boards. The new two plate design challenges your technique and balance. A great chance to try something new whilst having fun!! Beginners welcome, boards provided.

This session is 2hrs of non-stop fun, including 45mins of bouncy castle mayhem followed by an hour of big splash action in the pool.

Could you be the next Tiger Woods? Come and test out your swing at the fantastic driving range set at the picturesque Slaley Hall. Bus leaves Blyth Sports Centre @ 9am and picks up at the Wentworth Centre Hexham around 9.45. Will return to Wentworth 12.15 and arrive back at Blyth approx 13.00.

A2P Bouldering wall Rock climbing but without the heights. No rope or harness are required when climbing on a bouldering wall, a consent form for the facility must must be signed by a parent or carer prior to the session

A2P Bowling Enjoy 2 hours of non stop bowling action at the fantastic Wentworth Leisure Centre in Hexham. Bus leaves Blyth Sports Centre at 1.15pm and will return approx 2.30pm or alternatively you can meet us at Wentworth Sports Centre at 2pm.

A2P Go Karting Are you the next Lewis Hamilton?

Participants must have an awareness of danger to take part in this session.

A2P Sports Camp Are you 8-16yrs and Mad about sport then come along to our all day camps. Our qualified coaches will be there to develop your talent in array of different sports, from football, basketball, cricket, tennis and many more.

Children must bring a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing.

A2P Snow Tubing The most fun you can have sitting down.

Come along and spend time sliding, skidding and spinning on the inflatable round tubes down the slopes. Pick up will be at Ashington Leisure Centre please ensure you wear suitable sports or ski wear with arms and legs covered and bring a pair of gloves. Jeans are not permitted. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Move It Community Dance Definitions Blue Zone dance classes are included as part of our new programme 'Sports Factory'. Dance sessions will take place at Concordia Leisure Centre and Blyth Sports Centre, every Tuesday and Thursday, all styles listed below will be included. Mini / Mega Moves

Party away during our fabulous Dance Fit Class! Fed up of old, boring classes? Then come and experience dance styles from around the world…... Ditch the Workout, Join Dance Fit!

Depending on your age, you can join our mini or mega moves class! This class focuses on hip hop with a contemporary twist!

Funky Divas Come along and learn 'hip pop' and urban moves to transform yourself into a Funky Diva. This style is energetic, fun and gives you the chance to dance like you're in the latest music videos.

Hoop Dance

BOP to the TOP Learn funky routines from West End Musicals such as 'High School Musical', 'Hairspray' and 'Mama Mia!'

Cheer Camp!

We combine techniques from All American Cheerleading and Modern Cheer Dance!

You will learn energetic routines to the latest tunes using dance, jumps and pom poms!

Gain an insight into Basic Hooping Skills, Hoop Tricks, and Basic Hoop Dance. Hoop Dance is a new session that is fun filled.

Just Jhoom!

Inspired by the Glitz and Glamour of Bollywood Dance this is the latest craze in Dance and Fitness. Just Jhoom means 'Just Dance' so don't just sit there, Just Jhoom!

Move It Mash Up Bored of doing just 1 dance style? Then this session is perfect for you! Mash Up is a mix of whatever style you fancy having a go at and our qualified dance coaches will teach what ever you want to try.

Party Dance!

Party Dance is a dance session which is relaxed, fun & energetic. So come along and dance to your favourite party and pop dances!

Rock to the Beat Come along and learn inspired Street and Hip Hop routines! Rock to the Beat is a great way to discover new dance routines where you can dance like you're 'Diversity'.

Virtual Dance Mats Just like in the arcade, virtual dance mats test your ability in movement to music.

Doesn't matter whether you are a great dancer or beginner, you will enjoy virtual dance mats.
