Hi. This is the W group.

Title

Our magazine is going to be about video game music. What is video game music? Electronic music played in video games (basically). Pretty simple right? We’re just going to explain how it has evolved from decade to decade.

4

The 1980’s

The time is the 1980’s , and the first generally affordable consoles have been released [the NES] that were publically accepted. the first well known video game music was made here, the mario bros theme. the main human musicians of this era are michael jackson, and whitney houston. this era began the rise in video game music, and that is when it actually started to become what we know today.

The 1990’s

In the 1990s there was a lot amazing music. Like Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, and Dreamers. This era was mainly focused on classic rock, and country. But during this time, people started to realize that classic rock weren’t the only music that this decade has to offer. This new thought gave birth to new age rock, metal, and screaming rock. These new developments in music grew more popular in the 2000’s.

The 2000’s

What I’ve noticed from the type of music in the 2000s went towards bands like Modest Mouse and Papa Roach. Both rock bands. These may be mainly for action or fast paced games.

2010’s

Title

The era of music closest to our

own. games with classical music [mario galaxy 2] and games with more intense music [battlefield] predominantly control this era. the main musicians of this era are widely known, such as lady gaga, beyonce, and jay z . the game music became very advanced at this time, and it is mostly the same today, aside from some outliers, such as fnaf and surprisingly, sections of the mario series. it is also home to classics, such as fnaf’s stone cold theme, mario’s sky station galaxy, and halo’s main theme.

8

Conclusion

As you can see, as video games evolved, so did the music. Going from that 8-bit “pixel music, to bands you hear on the radio. It has come a long way.
