Lipoedema Australia extends a warm invitation to your organisation to participate in our sixth conference in Canberra, at Hotel Realm on 22-24 August 2025.
Lipoedema Australia serves as the national representative body for lipoedema. We offer support, advocacy, and educational resources for individuals living with lipoedema, while also working to increase awareness and education within the medical and allied health sectors.
In August we are hosting the Lipoedema Australia Conference in Canberra, with a virtual live streaming option for global and interstate attendees We expect more than 400 delegates to join us both in person and virtually for our 3-day event, to learn more about the latest in lipoedema research and treatment.
The Lipoedema Australia Conference seeks to empower individuals with lipoedema by offering education and insights from inspiring speakers across medical, allied health, research, and associated services, both from Australia and overseas
Following the enthusiastic response to our previous conference, Lipoedema Australia is thrilled to announce a participatory fashion parade during our launch party on Friday 22nd August, 2025.
This exciting event will showcase brands and styles that empower women with Lipoedema to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful in their own skin We invite you to contribute clothing items to be modelled by women with Lipoedema during the parade, providing a unique opportunity to reach a targeted and engaged audience.

1. Garment Guidelines and Submission
Businesses may submit either loaned or donated garments for inclusion in the 2025 Lipoedema Australia Charity Fashion Show, which forms part of the conference held from 22–24 August 2025 at Hotel Realm, Canberra
Styles may include casual, formal, or other themes as specified Size ranges will be based on measurements provided by Lipoedema Australia to ensure suitability for our volunteer models
There is no limit to the number of garments a business may submit. Businesses submitting a higher number of garments may be eligible for additional promotional exposure All garments must be received by Lipoedema Australia no later than 13 June 2025
2. Ownership, Returns, and Condition of Garments
Businesses may choose to either donate garments (to be retained by the models following the event) or loan garments for temporary use during the fashion show
Loaned garments will be returned to the supplying business at the conclusion of the event. Lipoedema Australia will cover the cost of return postage, or businesses may provide a pre-paid return satchel with their garments
Lipoedema Australia accepts no responsibility for damage to or loss of garments provided on loan Garments are submitted at the supplier’s own risk. Businesses are encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage if desired.
Garments will be returned in 'as-is' condition Lipoedema Australia will not provide laundering, dry cleaning, or other garment care services prior to return Businesses are expected to manage garment cleaning post-event as appropriate.
3 Promotion and Advertising Benefits
All participating businesses will receive:
• Verbal acknowledgement during the fashion parade
• A free directory listing in the official Lipoedema Australia Conference magazine
• The opportunity to include a flyer, postcard, or discount code in the delegate swag bag (valued at $500)
To be included in these promotional opportunities, businesses must submit the following materials by 13 June 2025:
• A high-resolution logo
• A 50-word business blurb
• A website link
• Swag bag inclusion and/or optional discount code for inclusion in delegate materials
4 Media Use and Consent
Lipoedema Australia will be engaging professional photographers and videographers to document the fashion show Images and footage captured during the event may be used in future promotional materials, including but not limited to print publications, social media, the Lipoedema Australia website, and email newsletters
By participating in the fashion show, businesses grant Lipoedema Australia permission to display their garments and associated branding in these materials without additional notice or compensation
5 Garment Approval
Lipoedema Australia reserves the right to review and approve all submitted garments Garments that do not align with the size and style guidelines provided, or are otherwise deemed unsuitable for the event, may be excluded from participation at the sole discretion of the organisers
6 Event Cancellation or Rescheduling
In the event the fashion show or conference is cancelled or rescheduled, Lipoedema Australia will contact each garment provider to determine a mutually agreed-upon outcome for any garments already submitted
Garments may either be returned to the supplier or retained by Lipoedema Australia for use in a future event. The cost of return postage in such cases will be determined by mutual agreement between Lipoedema Australia and the garment supplier
