Lipoedema Australia serves as the national representative body for lipoedema We offer support, advocacy, and educational resources for individuals living with lipoedema, while also working to increase awareness and education within the medical and allied health sectors
We are encouraged by the growing awareness of lipoedema in both the general and medical communities over the past few years. This shift is resulting in earlier diagnoses and improved patient outcomes. However, there is still much work to be done to ensure that all individuals with lipoedema have access to support and resources to manage their condition.
The Lipoedema Australia Conference seeks to empower individuals with lipoedema by offering education and insights from inspiring speakers across medical, allied health, research, and associated services, both from Australia and overseas.
Specialised sessions will offer medical and allied health professionals the opportunity to learn best practices in diagnosis, management, and treatment techniques to apply with their patients, along with updates on current research

As lipoedema is not yet included in the medical school syllabus, Lipoedema Australia is taking on the challenge of educating our up and coming medicos through less traditional avenues.
The 2025 Lipoedema Australia Conference sees the launch of our student sponsorships, where our valued sponsors have the opportunity to cover the costs of medical and allied health students to attend the event, and learn about lipoedema directly from our leading experts.
Students may be from Canberra's two medical schools, or from interstate - medical and nursing students with a passion for general practice and women's health will be given priority access to scholarships Allied health students will also be eligible for these scholarships, with those undertaking physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry and exercise physiology degrees encouraged to apply

1 Acceptance and Payment:
Sponsorship applications will be considered at the discretion of Lipoedema Australia Upon acceptance, a legally binding contract will be formed between Lipoedema Australia and the sponsor/exhibitor, based on these terms and conditions a.

To confirm the sponsorship, a 50% deposit of the total payment is required at the time of booking The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 18 July 2025
6 Exhibition Layout:
Exhibition space will be assigned on a first come, firstserved basis Sponsors will have prominent placement based on the sponsorship level, and all other booths will be assigned upon receipt of registration form and payment The final exhibition floor plan is subject to change at the Planning Committee’s discretion

Failure to pay the remaining 50% by the specified date may result in the cancellation of the sponsorship or booth reservation, and any monies paid up to that point shall be forfeited

2 Insurance:
Lipoedema Australia and the venue owner/manager, along with their respective employees or agents, are not liable for any damage to or loss of equipment, materials, or belongings brought in by sponsors or exhibitors It is the sponsor/exhibitor's responsibility to obtain appropriate insurance coverage Lipoedema Australia will request a copy of your certificate of currency (minimum $10 million coverage)
3 Advertising:
All advertising artwork is to be supplied by the sponsor in line with conference artwork specifications and deadlines Advertisers are responsible for ensuring accuracy in advertising and must comply with all required advertising and consumer legislation
Where packages include electronic publication of sponsor logos, publication will commence within one week of receipt of deposit & logo file, and continue until after the conclusion of the event/sponsorship
4 Delegate Swag Bag Contributions:
Item to be supplied by the sponsor and approved by the conference committee All inclusions must be professionally designed and printed/manufactured Swag bags are provided to both virtual and in person delegates and as such weight limitations will apply to non-printed products
5 Exhibition Hours:
Lipoedema Australia reserves the right to determine the days and hours during which attendees may access booths, as well as exhibitors' access hours for setup and dismantling Exhibitors must comply with the designated times and refrain from dismantling or removing booth exhibits before the published closing time of the Conference
Exhibitors must not assign, sublet, or share their allocated booth space without prior written consent from Lipoedema Australia
Lipoedema Australia reserves the right to redesign the location, dimensions, or floor plan of the exhibitor's booth or any other booth without any claim for a reduction in payment
Exhibitors must not intrude beyond their allocated booth space into an adjoining exhibitor's space
Exhibitors are liable for any damage caused to the exhibition area and must reimburse Lipoedema Australia for any restoration costs.
8 Unavoidable Occurrences:
In the event of the Conference opening, closing, or duration being cancelled or amended due to unavoidable occurrences such as fire, flood, pandemics, civil disorders, or other similar events, the sponsor/exhibitor shall not be entitled to any refund or claim for compensation, loss, or damage

Participation in the Conference does not imply endorsement by Lipoedema Australia
Exhibitors are solely responsible for their promotional material's compliance with relevant laws and indemnify Lipoedema Australia against any claims arising from such material

Exhibitors must ensure their equipment complies with relevant standards and indemnify Lipoedema Australia against any claims related to the use of such equipment

Exhibitors must follow all instructions from Lipoedema Australia and the venue owner/manager while at the Conference, including acceptable noise levels
10 Cancellations:
Notice of cancellation or requests for space reductions must be made in writing to Lipoedema Australia and received by the deadlines noted below to initiate a refund:
15 February, 2025 – 100% refund
15 May, 2025 – 50% refund
After 15 May, 2025 – no refund
All refunds are subject to a 20% administrative fee
