THE NEW REVOLUTION IN WEIGHT LOSS TECHNOLOGY With his invention of the HYPOXI®-Method, sport scientist Dr. Norbert Egger laid the foundations for an entirely new category of body shaping.

After graduating from the University of Salzburg, he rounded off his competences with extensive advanced trainings in the areas of rehabilitation and health training. In 1983, he founded Austria’s first fitness and health studio for women in Salzburg. Over the course of the years, however, he noticed that many women weren’t able to get to grips with their problem areas, neither with intensive exercise nor with all kinds of changes in diet. As a sport scientist, he knew that fat is burned primarily in regions where the tissue is best supplied with blood and above all, fat is burned by movement.

He already used targeted circulation-enhancing methods such as vacuum massage and lymphatic drainage to reduce water retention to tighten the skin, in his studio. Based on these insights, he now focussed on developing training devices which would combine circulation-enhancing methods with movement. He used the first prototype of a HYPOXI® device in 1997, with completely surprising results – even for himself! For the first time in history, pressure therapy was used simultaneous with fat burning exercise: the beginning of the HYPOXI®-Method and an entirely new impulse for the body shaping industry!

With a small but motivated team, he first developed a pressure-resistant device which, whilst closely surrounding the body, still left enough freedom of movement for real exercise. The HYPOXI®-Training device was now ready for deployment and proved to be the top innovation at international fitness and beauty trade shows. The egg-shaped pressure chamber in which the problem areas are “put under pressure” during cycle training fascinated the entire industry.

The HYPOXI®-Method, which today is unique around the world, is active in over 40 countries worldwide and hundreds of thousands of people have benefited from Egger’s idea.

In order to shape your figure and smooth your skin, problematic areas of your body need to be targeted using specific techniques to shift the most stubborn pockets of fat and cellulite This is exactly how the HYPOXI®-Therapy works - it concentrates on your problem areas during an easy cardio training program. The recognized and patented HYPOXI®-Method created by Dr. Egger is a unique therapy using pressure resistance proven to combat cellulite, stubborn fat deposits and poor connective tissue.

The combination of pressure therapy and a low level of cardio combines to streamline previously problematic areas quickly and easily. Following a consultation with a member of the experienced team you will be designed an individual plan, unique to your own body and goals.

After completing the standard course of 18 sessions an average client could typically expect to lose a dress size, which for most would give circumference loss in excess of 40cms and a reduction in dangerous visceral fat in the region of 10%. Visceral fats are the ones that can cause heart disease, type II diabetes and strokes, so there are clear health, as well as aesthetic benefits to the HYPOXI®-Method.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT...

Eat a purely carbohydrate meal at least 2-4 hours before the treatment. A banana is ideal for clients on the move and can be consumed 30 minutes before the treatment.

We advise not to exercise on the day of the treatment, but for clients who do exercise regularly do this prior to your appointment.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT...

Eat a purely protein meal following your treatment to speed up muscle repair. Consume no carbohydrates at all for at least 8 hours. Aim not to eat after 7pm as calories consumed late in the evening are often left unused and therefore the body will store them, usually as fat.

The treatment continues to work for 8 hours after your session, during which time your body will be metabolising fats in your target areas; so please do not take part in massage, saunas, sunbeds or exercise during this time.

NON-TREATMENT DAYS...

Continue to drink 2/3 litres of water or fruit tea every day. Try to oven cook, steam or grill food rather than fry. Avoid saturated fats and processed foods. Reduce intake of caffeine and sugar. Limit your intake of alcohol - you cannot burn fat with alcohol in your bloodstream. Reduce intake of complex carbohydrates. Bulk up your meals with extra green vegetables or salad. Aim to eat before 6pm in the evening. Don’t starve yourself!

Some Frequently asked questions Is HYPOXI® suitable for everyone?

HYPOXI® is wonderful for male or females aged 18-80. Suitable for dress sizes 8-20. At your introductory session you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire and your dedicated HYPOXI®-Coach will confirm your suitability. HYPOXI® is great after pregnancy but not appropriate during.

What should I wear?

Loose clothing as you don’t want anything tight that could restrict your circulation. Loose jogging bottoms and a long sleeved tee shirt, socks and trainers are ideal.

What makes HYPOXI® so special?

The results and how easy it is! It’s the natural, non invasive alternative to tummy tucks and lipo suction. Being able to improve skin tone and get rid of targeted fats quickly in those stubborn areas that diet and exercise alone cannot often reach. Clients also see a marked improvement in dangerous visceral fat after their HYPOXI® course. Everyone is so friendly making it such fun, and the HYPOXI®-Method is incredibly effective yet pain free.

How often should I do HYPOXI®?

The optimum frequency is 3 times a week and dependent upon the goals will depend upon the time needed. Your HYPOXI®-Coach will likely have seen someone your size and shape before and be able to realistically advise what is possible in what timescale. Typically clients drop a dress size or couple of trouser sizes in 6 weeks.

Is the nutritional program hard?

Not at all, it is about eating well and never letting yourself get hungry. Cut out the sugar and processed foods and stick to anything straight from the field or straight from the animal and you won’t go wrong!

Some Frequently asked questions Is the exercise hard?

Not at all. It is just 30 minutes of gentling pedaling or walking on a treadmill whilst your targeted areas experience changes in pressure. Your heart rate is monitored to ensure you don’t work too hard, just at the optimum rate to burn targeted fats. Programs are tailored for individuals and adapted based on their age and body condition. Whilst exercising you can drink water or herbal teas provided, chat, read, or watch TV - 30 minutes soon goes!

Do I book appointments?

Yes please, advanced booking is essential. There is just one of each of the 4 specialised HYPOXI® pieces of equipment, so each is booked out at specific time slots to ensure it is free when you need it. Please arrive in advance of your appointment so you are ready, changed and able to go on at your pre booked time slot. 24 hour notice of cancellation is appreciated and you are encouraged to re book any cancelled appointments within the week so you maintain the optimum 3 sessions per week. Do you have shower and changing facilities?

Of course and you are more than welcome to use the shower products and towels provided.

Do you have parking facilities?

Parking is available immediately in front of the building on the roadside for 1 hour (9am-6pm and no restriction outside of these hours). For longer visits, please ask for details on where to park.
