BEING AN EXPLORER AT LINKIT

1.1 HISTORY

LINKIT was founded in 1998 by Bert Peters. Bert started LINKIT from his living room and at the time mainly focused on mediating IT freelancers. Over the years, LINKIT has grown from a mediator into an international knowledge-driven IT organization with more than 200 employees.

1.2 PURPOSE & STRATEGY

IT is a driving force in any modern organization. It serves as a business accelerator when applied correctly. But IT (professionals) do not always get the right amount of appreciation to make this flywheel effect possible. LINKIT makes this impact of IT possible.

Companies that want to stay ahead by using digitization, but do not have the knowledge and/or culture to harness the power of IT, are fueled by the knowledge, skills and experience of LINKIT. As a knowledge-driven IT partner, we have the unique strength and flexibility to adapt and effortlessly scale up to the needs of our customers. For example, this could be a capacity issue where an IT professional with the required expertise starts working at the customer, but it can also be an issue where we deploy a project team with different expertise to realize the solution for the customer. LINKIT offers the right guidance from start to finish to ensure that the implementation of the solution is successful. We fulfill these requests through our own ecosystem, which includes a large group of our own people, IT professionals from partners or freelancers.

1.3 THE EXPLORER STORY

If you become part of LINKIT, you become an explorer. After all, you have indicated, just like all other LINKIT explorers, that you want to start your unique journey and that you feel like learning & discovering! The reason why we call our employees explorers is because we see a lot of similarities.

But what exactly is an explorer within LINKIT? In any case, the point is that as an explorer you want to push your limits, you want to investigate what your next step is from a curious and eager to learn attitude. You have a goal in mind, a final destination, but the road to it is still free to fill in. You know that you will encounter some bumps along the way and that you sometimes have to walk a different path than you initially envisioned. You learn from every journey and in this way you lift yourself (and others) to a higher level every time. We basically summarize this in the following words:

Evolving: as an explorer, you are aware of and keep up with the latest developments in your field. For this it may be that you visit events outside the door.
