Outstanding!

lackpool’s families have been B celebrating their “outstanding” Five children's centres get top rating children’s centres. Grange Park Children’s Centre is the latest Blackpool Council children’s centre to have achieved an OFSTED report of “Outstanding”. With this report, now five out of the seven Blackpool centres that have been inspected, have achieved the highest rating.

Outstanding Grange Park now joins other centres, Mereside & Clifton, Thames, St Cuthbert’s & Palatine and Talbot & Brunswick Children’s Centres as “outstanding”. The OFSTED report praised the staff at the centre, saying that they were “enthusiastic” and “highly motivated”. It also commended the role that the centre played within the local area, calling it “hugely important to ….the wider communities of Grange Park and Layton.”

Testament Cllr Ivan Taylor, Blackpool Council Cabinet Member with responsibility for children’s centres, was also high in his praise for all the centres. He said: “All of the staff in our children’s centres are very professional and care a lot about the work that that they do to help improve families’ lives.
