JAN/FEB 2012 Editors Letter Welcome to our JAN/FEB edition of LINK-Magazine.

Happy New Year from all of us at LINK-Magazine but by the time you’re reading this, many of you may have already broken their New Year resolutions but not here at LINK. We have changed our distribution so we now come out last week in the month so we can cover all the following months’ events. We have also started working on our new website which will be coming live in February with many new features and advertising options.

LINK has had its best ever month in business for the start of the year by far up 65% over last year, which reinforces that continuous cost effective advertising with LINK works. As more clients stay with us we will continue to improve the magazine and all support services in 2012.

Hambletons Women’s Institute

Main Speaker is the well known chef Rosemary Shrager.

We welcomed in our New Year’s Meeting with the Piper Mr Ted Freaney who played a selection of Scottish Airs including “Maries Wedding” that got us in the mood after an excellent buffet supplied by the “Shovels Inn” accompanied by a “wee dram” and off we went into scottish country dancing.

New members welcomed, why not come along and see for yourselves what new experiences you can discover at Hambleton.

We were shown how to do it properly by a delightful six strong team of kilted male and female dancers from Preston, we were all encouraged to join in and enjoy ourselves which we did, doing “The Lancers” and quite a few dances from our childhood. Doris Boyle won Best Dancer award, Chris Seed came second and Jeannie Nuttall was third. Sue Davies gave the vote of thanks.
