In t h e middle of a big, busy citythere was adeep,darklake a nd at the bottom there lived alittle,fearfulfish.

The fe a r ful f ish had a sister.Shehad busy s w i m ming outside with jus t s t a r t ed school and was always
her friends a f t er her classes.

Butthefearfulfishdidn’tlike swimmingoutside,instead,heplayedwith his seahorseinthe garden.Hefeltworriedabout the dayhe wouldhaveto startschool.
When the day finally came, his parents swam to work as usual and so Grandpa happily offered to help the children get ready.

As they brushed their teeth, Grandpa began singing scary stories about the local fisherman’s hooks.

Now the fearful fish was terrified! He swam under his bed and hid there until eventually Grandpa and his sister swam off to school.
There he stayed for a long time. He stayed under his bed all day until long after his sister came back from school.
The next morning, the fearful fish hid again as Grandpa sang up the stairs

The fearful fish waited for the sound of the door slamming before coming out from under his bed. He went into the garden to play with his seahorse. After some time, the seahorse could see that our fish was unhappy, and had an idea.

leaving now and if you don’t do similar, you’ll make friends with some vinegar!”
“Close your eyes tight and I’ll show you a surprise that’s just right!” declared the seahorse. The fearful fish did as he was told. In a flash, they were off! Suddenly, they were swimming around the garden faster than ever before! But when he opened his eyes, he wasn’t in the garden at all, he was at school! The seahorse swam off quickly, leaving him with nowhere to go other than into the school.

He swam up to a window and as he looked inside he shivered in fear. There were the hooks, right in the middle of the classroom!

“These hooks are deadly you can see, but listen to me and you’ll stay free!” said a voice. It was the teacher!
She taught the children all about the clever fisherman’s hooks and that they should never eat something from a stranger, even if it looks delicious!
