JANUARY 2024 - JULY 2025

At Lingfield College, we believe the definitive measure of a school is in its success in preparing pupils to take a positive and contributing role in society. Every child can be inspired and empowered to be the best and the happiest they can be. As a school, we are ambitious for and with every pupil, devoting our resources to provide an outstanding education that opens up a world of possibilities, inspires a love of learning and develops the skills and characteristics needed to become future leaders.
Pupils who leave Lingfield at the end of their school career are academically ambitious, well-rounded individuals with the strength of character, humility and social mindset to make their mark in the world.
Our Purpose
We are guided by a simple philosophy that:
"Together we can inspire and enable every pupil to truly flourish socially, academically and creatively to fulfil their aspirations and lead exciting, meaningful lives."

To be a safe and trusted foundation for our pupils to achieve their individual academic, social and creative potential.
To cultivate the skills, knowledge, self-awareness and academic credentials our pupils will need to confidently meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world.
To instil and nurture a strong sense of social responsibility, moral justice and environmental awareness so our pupils can positively contribute to a sustainable and just society.
To guide each child in the discovery, delight and development of their unique gifts, talents and character.
To create and sustain an inclusive and contemporary school culture, where diversity, difference and individuality are recognised and celebrated.
To prioritise physical and emotional wellbeing across every facet of our school community.
To achieve our aims and execute our purpose we have identified six distinctive pillars.
CURRICULUM TEACHING & LEARNING ESTATES & BUSINESS
PASTORAL CARE & SCHOOL COMMUNITY

ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
PARTNERSHIPS & PUBLIC BENEFIT COCURRICULAR & ENRICHMENT

To provide a dynamic, engaging and purposeful curriculum, which is responsive and reflective of the future employment landscape and the complexities of the wider world.
TO ACHIEVE THIS WE WILL:
Continually improve the quality of the teaching and learning.
Ensure that the Educational Vision and school ethos remains central to school activities, initiatives and policies.
Achieve high levels of overall attainment in the Sixth Form (75% A*-B / D*-M at A Level and BTEC) and at GCSE (60% 9-7).
Introduce student laptops for Years 10 and above, and articulate a vision for digital literacy.
Undertake a curriculum review to assess the appropriateness of GCSE, A Level and BTEC provision, and consider curriculum/subject changes to ensure our offering is viable and leads to the best outcomes for our students.
Support students in maximising their success in achieving places at their university of choice and/or gaining places on prestigious apprenticeship schemes.
Expand the use of IT within lessons via class iPads, use of SeeSaw as an interactive tool for work storage, and through integrating coding further into the Computing curriculum.
Refine and develop the Science curriculum and attain a PSQM award. As part of this process, develop STEM provision throughout the school via STEM week, external workshops, and curriculum development.
Overhaul Art teaching and curriculum by hiring an Art specialist who will be responsible for updating the curriculum and raising the profile of Art throughout all year groups.

PILLAR TWO

To continue to strengthen our pastoral care by nurturing a compassionate, diverse and inclusive community dedicated to the wellbeing, personal growth, self-belief and resilience every member.
It is such a lovely place and really welcoming community which always makes me feel cheerful. You can be yourself here.
Ensure that safeguarding and promoting wellbeing continues to be the priority for all members of the Lingfield community.
Embed our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion provision.
Establish more opportunities for celebrating the cultural diversity of the School.

PILLAR THREE
To provide a diverse range of co-curricular and enrichment experiences that develop every pupil, promote excellence, and encourage participation from all students.
Continue to develop extra-curricular opportunities.
In Sport, maintain and improve team performance, enhance scholarship provision and enable girls’ football throughout the School.
In Music and Drama, continue to improve levels of participation and performance, and take advantage of planned upgraded facilities.
Prep School Specific
Embed the new SCARF PSHE curriculum throughout the school to ensure continuity and full coverage of National Curriculum requirements whilst nurturing pupils’ sense of social responsibility and integrity.
Develop further residential and overseas trips, including a Prep School overseas trip.
What sets Lingfield apart is the abundance of opportunities available. The extracurricular program at Senior School opens the door to trying an activity you may not have known you liked, and discovering that you ’ re really good at it.

Seeing the school in action was an ideal way to get a feel for the school and how our child would fit in. The information provided was excellent and the atmosphere so warm and welcoming.
To optimise the operational efficiency and sustainability of Lingfield College by integrating admissions, marketing, HR, estates, and finance functions to support the school's aims and growth objectives
Maintain the number of pupils at both Prep and Senior.
Continue to invest in the infrastructure and facilities; the immediate priorities being the Senior School dining hall, the refurbishment of Batnors Hall and the provision of a Prep School astro. In the medium term, refurbish the Auditorium, creating a high level Performing Arts Centre.
Prepare for likely imposition of VAT on school fees, and loss of business rate relief, considering communication with stakeholders, potential cost-cutting measures and exploring any other initiatives that could mitigate the financial burden.
Conduct effective recruitment, retention and development of staff, ensuring their wellbeing is the highest priority.

Continue to proactively expand our local outreach and partnership iniatives while widening access to Lingfield College education through a sustainable bursary program. Strengthen connections with our alumni and parental community, fostering engagement and support for current and future generations of Lingfield pupils.
Develop positive and mutually supportive outward-facing partnerships with the community links schools and arrange joint initiatives such as STEAM or Enterprise events.
Foster a culture of philanthropy and engagement within our school community, enabling long-term security for bursaries at the School.
Cultivate a culture of giving through centralising the charity organisation and streamlining all charity events across the School.
Increase the involvement and engagement of Alumni in the School by encouraging participation in Careers Fairs, lectures, mentoring and work experience.
Continue to promote and improve parental engagement via the Lingfield College Parents Association, fundraising and focus groups.
We wanted to say a massive thank you for allowing us to use your theatre. The children had a wonderful day and the parents were blown away. The Lingfield students were so helpful and polite, a real credit to your school.
