Jericho Streegan, Mary Anchit, Benmark Mercado in SiloyAwards Presentation
Siloy Music Awards 2022 Vocal Performance, Male winner Jericho Streegan, VispopX finalist Mary Anchit and Minpop 2022 winner Benmark Mercado will appear as presentors-performers in the 7th edition of the Cebu Siloy Awards on May 26, 2023, 5pm NZT.
Streegan won last year with his song, “All Night Long” and subsequently released “Unspkn”, a duet with Julia Q and his latest single, “True”. He is currently working on his first album for 22 Tango Music Group. Anchit who had previously released an all-English album, had 2 songs as semi-finalists in Vispop X, with “Isayaw Tika” reaching the finals, the latter chosen as Filscap Choice. Mercado who won Minpop 2022 with his song, “Bingi, Bulag, Pipi” is co-host of the popular radio show, B Orig Global, that broadcasts from New Zealand and podcasts worldwide. He recently released the song, “Kay Amigo Ra Lagi.”
Those who have earlier committed to appear in the Facebook Live show are award-winning singer-songwriter Ferdinand Aragon, indie artist Do Medi, music producer/author Ben Noynay and Bisaya rap pioneer Yo Emperado.
Cebu Siloy Music Awards was first presented in 2017 through a column in Sun Star Cebu by opinion writer Mel B. Libre, who produces and handles the B Orig Global Radio Show that showcases Bisaya music artists and their works. Since 2020, the winners were announced through a FB Live show in the B Orig Facebook group.
LightPerSecond, a leading photo/videography firm in New Zealand, is partnering with Cebu Siloy Music Awards for the live presentation.
