21 braden thorn THE WILDCATS WILDCATS AT A GLANCE Linfield is 3-5 thus far and 1-1 in the NWC. The Wildcats have hit 17 doubles which is tied for fith in the NWC and 34th in NCAA Division III. Levi Horner-Villa has hit three home runs, which is tied for fifth. Jackson Horner has a batting average of .417, which is seventh in the conference and hit his first-career home run this past weekend. Freshman Gage Mack has turned in three solid starts to start his college career. He is third in the conference with an ERA of 2.30 and has 15 strikeouts, which is ninth in the conference. Colton Meyer pitched 6.1 innings against Puget Sound, including 4.1 shutout and had six strikeouts. THE PIONEERS AT A GLANCE Lewis & Clark lost three out of the four games against Whitman last weekend. The Pioneers won 9-7 over the Blues in Game 2 on Saturday, behind two RBIs from Jack Thomson and Jakob Ghammachi. Jordan Gonzalez pitched 3.1 innings, giving up a run on three strikeouts to get the win. Thomson is second in the conference with a batting average of .455. THE SERIES The first documented meeting came on May 6, 1949, a 4-2 Pioneers win. Linfield leads the series 135-54. They did not meet in 2020. Lewis & Clark took two of three in the conference series in 2019, and Linfield won a non-conference game.
