We would like to welcome you as a city to our Lindon Days celebration. This is one of the opportunities we have as a city to come together as friends and family and become reacquainted through a wonderful variety of events during the week of August 6-13, 2005. We have something for everyone.
Please look through the program we have provided for times and listings of the different events. Some of the favorites are the Grand Parade, Huck Finn Fishing and Hayride, Mini Rodeo events, Carnival, Community Breakfast/Flag Ceremony, Golf Tournament, 5K Race and kid walk, and of course the Hot Air Balloons with the final event being the Concert with Kelly Eisenhower and Fireworks. There are many more events that will be fun for the young and those young of heart.
We look forward to seeing you there. We thank everyone who has been a part of making this Lindon Days the best ever.
From all of us at the city,
We say, THANK YOU!

Jeff Acerson Lindon City Mayor
“A little bit of country”
Commissioner Larry Ellertson was raised in Mona, Utah, and graduated from Southern Utah State College in 1972 with a BS in Accounting. He worked as a CPA for Haskins & Sells, in Phoenix, Arizona, before coming to Utah in 1977. During his 24 years with Utah Power and Light, he held numerous positions, culminating in General Business Manager, prior to his retirement in 2001. He spent a few years working as a project manager and consultant before his current position as Vice President of United Way of Utah County.
Through the years, Commissioner Ellertson has served in numerous important civic positions and was the 2000 recipient of Utah Lt. Governor’s Civic Volunteer Award. Between November 1996 and January 2005, as the Mayor of Lindon City, his innovative plans and policies helped to prepare our city for the future growth we are now experiencing. We are fortunate to have his considerable skills as he now represents us on the County Commission of Utah County.
Aside from his many professional and civic duties, he has also served as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, in addition to various ecclesiastical callings over the years. He and his wife, Linda are the parents of five children; Jeremy, Corry, Kristalyn, Kim, and Kelly, and the grandparents of six; Levi, Taylor, Devin, Corbyn, Logan, and Megan.
Linda Christiansen Ellertson was raised in the Central Valley of Sevier County, Utah. She also attended Southern Utah State College, where she graduated in Elementary Education. She taught Elementary school during the years they resided in Arizona, but stopped working once the children came along. She currently substitute teaches in the Alpine School District.
Over the years, she has been active in her religious life, serving in positions within the Relief Society, Primary, Cub Scouts and Young Women’s organizations of her church. She currently serves in the Relief Society of the BYU 13th Stake.
Her interests include her children and grandchildren, reading, quilting, music, and “following Larry around”. The family, particularly Larry, enjoys horses and annual Easter trips to Moab for four-wheeling.
We are proud to honor Larry and Linda Ellertson for their years of exceptional service to their family, church and community.
