OCTOBER

October 30, 2025
Dear Blue Tiger Family and Friends,
Office of the President Phone: (573) 681-5042
Fax: (573) 681-6074

Please join me in congratulating this year’s campus royalty. The annual coronation of Mister Lincoln University and Miss Lincoln University is not only a celebration of leadership and achievement, but it is the continuation of a rich tradition on our campus.
This year, we recognize the 101st Miss Lincoln University Dayonna Crump and the 23rd Mister Lincoln University Jamir Hunt. Their names will now be listed among an exclusive list of student leaders who have served in these roles. They both carry much more than the crown and titles. They also uphold the mission of our university as they serve as ambassadors of pride, service and excellence
Their reign comes during a special time as we mark our 100th Homecoming here at Lincoln University. For a century, students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community have come together to reminisce on the past and renew their commitment to the university’s present and future. Throughout that time, coronation has been a highly anticipated tradition of those celebrations.
To Miss Lincoln University Dayonna Crump and Mister Lincoln University Jamir Hunt, as you move through this year, I know you will do so with the courage and distinction it takes to serve as a student leader. Every Blue Tiger adds their story to our history, and you are in a chapter that will not be forgotten. Be as proud of yourself as we all are of you. Congratulations and good luck.

With Blue Tiger Pride in Our Traditions,
John Moseley, Ed.D. President
Founded 1866: 62nd & 65th Colored Infantries An equal opportunity institution

October 30, 2025

It is with great pride and admiration that I extend heartfelt congratulations to Jamir Hunt, the 23rd Mister Lincoln University of Missouri, and Dayonna Crump, the 101st Miss Lincoln University of Missouri. This moment marks not only a personal achievement for Jamir and Dayonna but also a celebration of tradition, leadership and excellence within our cherished institution.
Your reign is especially significant to our campus community as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Homecoming and honor 101 years of campus royalty. To serve as Mister and Miss Lincoln during this historic milestone is both an honor and a responsibility. You stand as living symbols of our rich heritage, carrying forward the values of service, leadership and pride that define the Blue Tiger experience.
The coronation ceremony itself holds a profound place in the life of Lincoln University. It is more than a crowning; it is a rite of passage that symbolizes continuity, tradition and the collective pride of our community. Coronation unites past, present and future generations, affirming the importance of leadership and the responsibility that comes with wearing the crown.
Across historically Black colleges and universities, campus kings and queens hold a unique and revered place. They embody the dignity, resilience and excellence of HBCU traditions while serving as visible ambassadors for their peers. Jamir and Dayonna, your reign reflects the enduring significance of this tradition, honoring the past, uplifting the present, and inspiring the future.
On behalf of the Division of Student Affairs, I wish you both success and fulfillment as you embrace this important chapter in Lincoln’s history.
With deepest congratulations,

Tobias R. Morgan, Ph.D. Vice President for Student Affairs

She is an outgoing student who strives to succeed in everything she does. Dayonna is actively engaged in the Royal Court, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and Queens United Leadership Academy Inc. A senior, Dayonna aspires to complete her time at Lincoln with a strong academic career. She aims to use her education to give back to her community, teaching the importance of self-care and good health.
Dayonna would like to give a special shout-out to her Aunt Shari, for always being her number one supporter and number one fan. Her favorite quote is: “Stand for something or you will fall for anything.” She is beyond blessed for the opportunity to serve as Miss Lincoln for the 2025-2026 academic school year.

He is also a member of the Lincoln University Vocal Ensemble, lending his voice and presence to inspire audiences and represent Lincoln with dignity.
Sacé lives by the adage that “Nothing changes if nothing changes.” He draws strength from his favorite quote: “When a man learns to feel love, he must also bear the risk of feeling hate.” He credits his younger brother, Dane Anderson, as his greatest source of inspiration, shaping him into a man of resilience, compassion and determination. With a heart for service and a vision without boundaries, Sacé plans to travel the world, broadening his knowledge and experiences. As a Gentleman of Honor, he strives to lead with greatness.

The best advice Destine ever received is, “Be yourself, and if you’re hated, know they hated the real you.” This reminder keeps her grounded, she says, knowing it’s better to be disliked for being true to yourself than to be loved for being someone you’re not. But you can either run from it or learn from it.” This powerful lesson resonates deeply with Keith, as it speaks to the value of growth through experiences.
The best advice Keith ever received came from his football coach, Daren Hale, who always emphasized the importance of being coachable in life, no matter the circumstances.
