Dear Blue Tiger Family and Friends,

Office of the President Phone: (573) 681-5042

Fax: (573) 681-6074

Please join me in congratulating this year’s campus royalty. The annual coronation of Mister Lincoln University and Miss Lincoln University is not only a celebration of leadership and achievement, but it is the continuation of a rich tradition on our campus.

This year, we recognize the 101st Miss Lincoln University Dayonna Crump and the 23rd Mister Lincoln University Jamir Hunt. Their names will now be listed among an exclusive list of student leaders who have served in these roles. They both carry much more than the crown and titles. They also uphold the mission of our university as they serve as ambassadors of pride, service and excellence

Their reign comes during a special time as we mark our 100th Homecoming here at Lincoln University. For a century, students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community have come together to reminisce on the past and renew their commitment to the university’s present and future. Throughout that time, coronation has been a highly anticipated tradition of those celebrations.

To Miss Lincoln University Dayonna Crump and Mister Lincoln University Jamir Hunt, as you move through this year, I know you will do so with the courage and distinction it takes to serve as a student leader. Every Blue Tiger adds their story to our history, and you are in a chapter that will not be forgotten. Be as proud of yourself as we all are of you. Congratulations and good luck.

With Blue Tiger Pride in Our Traditions,

Founded 1866: 62nd & 65th Colored Infantries An equal opportunity institution

Your reign is especially significant to our campus community as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Homecoming and honor 101 years of campus royalty. To serve as Mister and Miss Lincoln during this historic milestone is both an honor and a responsibility. You stand as living symbols of our rich heritage, carrying forward the values of service, leadership and pride that define the Blue Tiger experience.

Deeply involved in campus life, Jamir is the seventh Mister Ivy Man for the Alpha Iota Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., a spring 2024 initiate of the Alpha Mu chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., a member of MANRRS and a committed student-athlete on the Blue Tiger track and field team.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY Miss

Dayonna Michelle Crump

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY Miss

A psychology major from Memphis, Tennessee, Dayonna Michelle Crump is the daughter of Christina Stokes and the late Darry Crump. She is an outgoing student who strives to succeed in everything she does. Dayonna is actively engaged in the Royal Court, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and Queens United Leadership Academy Inc. A senior, Dayonna aspires to complete her time at Lincoln with a strong academic career. She aims to use her education to give back to her community, teaching the importance of self-care and good health.

Dayonna would like to give a special shout-out to her Aunt Shari, for always being her number one supporter and number one fan. Her favorite quote is: “Stand for something or you will fall for anything.” She is beyond blessed for the opportunity to serve as Miss Lincoln for the 2025-2026 academic school year.

Prestigious Royalty

Sacé Marvin Anderson Gentleman of Honor

Sacé Marvin Anderson is from Kansas City, Missouri. A senior majoring in physical education at Lincoln University, he has distinguished himself as a scholar, leader and servant to his community. As a fall 2024 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Sacé carries forward a legacy of excellence and brotherhood. He is also a member of the Lincoln University Vocal Ensemble, lending his voice and presence to inspire audiences and represent Lincoln with dignity.

Sacé lives by the adage that “Nothing changes if nothing changes.” He draws strength from his favorite quote: “When a man learns to feel love, he must also bear the risk of feeling hate.” He credits his younger brother, Dane Anderson, as his greatest source of inspiration, shaping him into a man of resilience, compassion and determination. With a heart for service and a vision without boundaries, Sacé plans to travel the world, broadening his knowledge and experiences. As a Gentleman of Honor, he strives to lead with greatness.

Destine Mariah Marie Monroe Lady in Waiting

Destine Monroe, daughter of Jerrue Duncan and proud sister to eight siblings, is from Kansas City — a place that shaped her strength, resilience and determination.

A criminal justice and psychology major, Destine is passionate about understanding people and advocating for fairness. Her goal is to make a difference in the justice system while also shining a light on the mental health aspects.

Her favorite quote comes from The Vampire Diaries: “When people see good, they expect good. And I don’t want to live up to anyone’s expectations.” Her guiding principle is to live authentically.

The best advice Destine ever received is, “Be yourself, and if you’re hated, know they hated the real you.” This reminder keeps her grounded, she says, knowing it’s better to be disliked for being true to yourself than to be loved for being someone you’re not. Destine is honored to share her journey on the Royal Court and make a lasting impact through her studies and leadership.

Prestigious Royalty

A senior from St. Louis, Keith McConnell is the son of the late Keith McConnell Sr. and Rhonda Harris McConnell. He is currently majoring in kinesiology with a minor in wellness and aspires to become an athletic trainer for an NFL team or a major Division 1 school while he pursues a nursing degree.

As the middle child among three siblings, Keith says he has learned the importance of resilience and motivation. One of his favorite quotes is from The Lion King: “The past can hurt. But you can either run from it or learn from it.” This powerful lesson resonates deeply with Keith, as it speaks to the value of growth through experiences.

The best advice Keith ever received came from his football coach, Daren Hale, who always emphasized the importance of being coachable in life, no matter the circumstances. A significant influence in his life has been his parents, he says, adding that the loss of his father has pushed him to work harder and strive for success in both his academic and personal life.

Mya Lanae Davis Miss Senior

Mya Davis, the daughter of Marcel Davis and Kendra Davis, is a senior from Memphis, Tennessee. She is majoring in criminal justice. Mya’s favorite quote is: “Don’t change who you are for anyone. Be yourself because the right people will love you for the person you truly are.”

Mya says the best advice she ever received was when someone told her that to reach her true potential she must be a mystery to others and an open book to herself. She proudly serves as Miss Senior in the Royal Court.

He sings in the vocal ensemble and is a proud fall 2024 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Guided by his favorite scripture, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13), LaRon approaches each day with faith and determination. The best advice he has ever received is to always stay true to himself, a principle that continues to shape his character and journey.
