Remembering Bernice Tretheway

Left: As Friends Secretary, Bernice recorded meeting minutes. Right: The Friends honored Bernice for her many years of service to the Library.
Bernice was instrumental in developing plans for a Library in Lincoln Township. She was at the last PTA meeting of the 1957-58 school year when someone suggested starting a Summer Library. A Committee of volunteers formed and the “first library” emerged that summer which led to the official founding of the Library in 1959. She passed away on September 9, 2024 at the age of 105.

WOW!
What a Refresh of the Library!!!
The Library was closed for a few months (with an outreach location) and what a fantastic change for patrons! The Library reopened on December 14.

Just prior to the reopening, the Friends purchased a Train Discovery Table from 3Branch for $5326. Just over a decade ago, the Friends purchased two Discovery tables which remain in high use! Children and parents love these tables.
