Step Afrika! visits Clinton Step Afrika! is a professional performance group dedicated to the African American art form of stepping and they performed recently at Clinton Elementary School. The school visit was in advance of the group's performance of its new program, "Drumfolk," at the Lied Center. Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, traditional African dances, and contemporary dance and art forms. The performers read to the students, taught them stepping and shared its cultural history.
