Angus Drummond, the founder of Limitless Travel, was 23 when his easy-going, action-packed life was shaken. Small room, consultant, diagnosis. "You have Muscular Dystrophy". As part of the diagnosis, Angus was told that his mobility would decline over time and that one day he would need a wheelchair.
In his immediate devastation, he buried it. "It caused me great mental anguish. I internalised everything. I didn't talk to anybody. I didn't even tell my friends." Considering his next step, he thought, why not make it a great leap.
"I decided to quit my job and travel the world. I travelled to 35 different countries, from South America, to India to South East Asia with my then girlfriend, now wife, Lucy. The most challenging thing was discovering how hard it can be travelling as a disabled person and how unsafe and vulnerable I felt."
"When I was told, 'don't worry, it's completely accessible', of a boat to one of the Galapagos Islands, nothing could have been further from the truth. Yes, it was easy to board from the pier, but this boat was just the transfer to another bigger vessel that we somehow had to clamber on while it jerked about in the choppy waves. I got my leg stuck between the two boats at one point. It was really scary."
Recognising that travel and its benefits should not be exclusive to the able-bodied, he decided that he needed to do something that would enable the wider disabled community to travel without limitations, and most importantly, without fear. "I had a vision to transform travel for people with disabilties. It took a few years, but that's how Limitless was born. Looking back, I'm so proud of what we've achieved and what it has meant to so many people."
Angus Drummond CEO & Founder
Being disabled and elderly they see to everything about getting to your destination without any worries. There is always someone with you to help, lend an ear, or answer questions that you need answering. Thank you Limitless!
Ann
The itinerary was really well put together and the holiday went smoothly. Highly recommend if one needs care support to enable them to travel.
Emily
I have received nothing but kindness and helpful advice from Sharon and Adam. Booking was done so effortlessly. I feel very safe with Limitless Travel.
Diane
The care team of Harry, Jade & Gary were absolutely super. The impact these 3 carers made to my wellbeing will never been forgotten. Thank you Limitless, a really enjoyable experience. I will definitely use again.
Eric
One needs the right area to visit, the atmosphere of the group, and the support of friendly carers. In this instance all were better than first class, so much so that I have booked another holiday for next May.
Alan
Just returned from my Limitless holiday. Every care need was anticipated and met so kindly, making it by far the best holiday I've had as a newly disabled traveler.
Philomena
Founded by disabled travellers, we know the brain power it takes to plan a trip, and the worries that follow. That doesn’t sound like a holiday.
Whether you have a disability, care for someone with special needs, or simply want support while away, we’re excited to transform your experience of accessible travel.
The Limitless Travel team experiences a range of mobility issues themselves, so there is no compromise when it comes to accessibility. We’re fed up with being misled by non-specialist travel providers. So when we say accessible, you can guarantee we mean it.
We visit each hotel, test every lift, and always strive to make our holidays as inclusive as possible. We wish the world was accessible; it sadly isn’t, but with our expertise you can enjoy a great holiday, feeling safe and comfortable at all times.
As part of our easy booking process, you'll have a 1-1 call with a care specialist to guarantee you get the support you need on holiday. We’re the only UK provider to bring professional carers and a tour manager on every trip, offering six levels of support, from companionship to 1-on-1 care.
We personally interview every carer to ensure they are the right fit for Limitless. So not only does our brilliant team provide dedicated assistance, but they are also the type of people you would want to go on holiday with!
Let us remove all the stress of booking a holiday. Our friendly team of Travel Advisors is dedicated to finding the best holiday for you.
You’ll never feel rushed and will be guided through each stage without hassle. So whether you’re speaking to Sharon, Leyla, or Alex, you’ll be speaking to people who want the best for you.
Since 2014, Limitless Travel has helped over 4,000 people of all abilities explore the world. While we take pride in our expertise, we don’t have all the answers. Based in Birmingham, our small team is dedicated to overcoming challenges and finding solutions to ensure nothing stops you from enjoying a holiday.
What comes to mind when you think of group holidays - long journeys, large groups, rushed from place to place? That's not how we do things. We keep group sizes small so you can make genuine connections, enjoying a wonderful holiday together. It's this companionship that sets Limitless apart.
If you’ve ever felt uninspired by the lack of choice when it comes to accessible holidays, then we hope you’ll be excited, maybe even surprised to hear that we offer over 100 holidays to destinations worldwide.
Voted Accessible Holidays Provider of the Year at the TTG Travel Awards for the past two years, we are proud of our growing reputation.
But we don't only want to change travel. We're also striving to lead the way in rewriting the narrative of society, whereby people with disabilities aren't talked about with pity or treated any differently, they are simply seen as people.
Care is at the heart of Limitless. We have 6 comprehensive care packages available to ensure your holiday is exactly that - a holiday. We’re the only UK travel company that take carers on every holiday.
Included with all Limitless Travel holidays. Suitable for those who do not require physical support, but may need a helping hand to make the most of their holiday.

Was hesitant at first but the young lady I spoke to could not have been more patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was amazed at the amount of help I could receive. I had given up thinking I would ever go on holiday again since my husband passed away.

Your finalised coach pickup and dropoff timings will be provided one week prior to departure via email. We recommend that you arrive at your designated pickup point at least 30 minutes prior to the time notified on your 1 week to go email to ensure that you are on time for the coach. Our coaches will be parked in the coach parking area of your designated service station, and you will receive contact numbers for your tour manager and senior carer in case of any delays on the day. We cannot accept responsibility if you are late for your pickup, however if our tour manager is advised of any delays they will endeavour to assist in making alternative travel arrangements to get you to your destination, or to your home. However, any costs or loss incurred in making these plans as a result of lateness will be your responsibility.
If you are vacating your accommodation after check out and have to wait for your departure from resort, your luggage remains your responsibility during this time. Whilst our representatives may be able to suggest where luggage can be stored, this will be entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any luggage left unattended.
Our representatives include our Tour Managers and Care Team, and are carefully selected to offer you advice and care. You will be given a contact telephone number for our representatives.
In some resorts and hotels, certain advertised facilities may not be available or fully operational in the early and late part of the season,
due to the number of participating holidaymakers and weather conditions. Also air-conditioning and heating, where mentioned, may be available only at certain times of the day or year at the hotelier’s discretion and at an additional cost. Such situations are regrettably beyond our control.
You will be expected to pay for any damage or breakages caused to your accommodation. This must be paid before you leave the resort. Property management reserves the right to evict you from the accommodation where deliberate damage/breakage has been caused. We will not accept any responsibility for your actions in such cases.
Most hotels do not employ a lifeguard. Please ensure that children and nonswimmers are supervised at all times and observe the pool rules at your
accommodation. If you wish to use the pool hoists, ramps, or any other access equipment, please ensure you do so in a safe and considerate manner.
If access equipment is damaged, an amount may be payable directly to the hotel to cover the cost of repair. If you wish to dive please check that the water is deep enough and that the property allows diving. You should exercise caution around pool areas since pool surrounds are often slippery when wet and you should not enter the pool after drinking alcohol. Please note that swimming pools may be temporarily withdrawn for maintenance purposes.
Please read carefully all safety information which is available in your hotel or apartment. On arrival, always familiarise yourselves with the nearest fire exits in your room or apartment.
Swimming outside of designated beaches is very dangerous. We recommend that you swim on main
beaches and avoid remote rocky coastlines. Familiarise yourself with the Local flag warning systems and seek local advice on which beaches are the safest. Check whether the beach has lifeguards and swim parallel to the shore within your depth. Children should be supervised at all times and there should be no swimming at night. You should also be aware of any “zones” for jet skis and power boats and stay well away. Any access equipment on the beach is used at your own risk, and you should carefully consider your health and mobility before use.
Whilst many enjoy indulging during holidays, there are times when alcohol is best avoided. Soft drinks are widely available in resorts, and bottled water is recommended when abroad. Alcohol consumption should be avoided before swimming and during sunbathing, as it causes dehydration. Drunken behaviour in accommodation and on-board aircraft can result in you being asked to leave the accommodation or
the aircraft accordingly. We cannot accept responsibility if such situations arise, and while we will endeavour to assist in making alternative travel arrangements to get you to your destination, or to your home, any costs or loss incurred as a result will be your responsibility.
Infants must be over 6 weeks old to travel by air and must be under 2 years old on the date of return to qualify as an infant. Charges for the carriage of infants vary from airline to airline and relevant charges will be advised at the time of booking. Cots and baby food are available in most resorts, but must be paid for locally.
Please bear in mind that guests with special dietary needs (for example, vegetarians, vegans and different cultures) may not find the same variety or options available that they are accustomed to. Travellers must ensure that they let Limitless Travel know about any dietary requirements prior to departure.
