GRADUATE SUCCESS
The data below outlines the path students in the program take within one year of graduation. (based on knowledge rate from 2021 graduate survey)
Exercise Science majors work in health promotion, fitness development, colleges and universities, clinical rehabilitation, and sport and athletic programs. They assist all age groups of people in becoming healthier through exercise and rehabilitation. Students enrolled in this concentration should have a strong interest in the sciences.
According to the CDC, 60% of adults have one or more chronic conditions that keep them from enjoying the life they want, shorten their life expectancy, or both. The BLS projects employment in healthcare occupations will grow 15% between 2019 and 2029.

Led by Limestone Professor, Dr. Felicia Cavallini, the research explored adults’ top motivators for physical activity.
In February 2021, students Makalyn Callaghan, Caylee Premo, and James Scott helped co-author a research article with Dr. Cavallini on physical activity that was published in the Journal of Physical Activity Research.
