SUGGESTED MINORS
The Health Sciences - Pre-Nursing major concentration prepares students for post-baccalaureate or graduate work in Health Sciences, entry into professional schools, or entry into accelerated baccalaureate nursing programs.
Students can elect to apply to our Nursing program or continue in the Pre-Nursing route and pursue nursing programs elsewhere. All students who wish to be a Nursing major at Limestone will start out as a Health Science Pre-Nursing major. Once they apply and are accepted into the clinical cohort, they are admitted to the Nursing program.

GRADUATE SUCCESS
The data below outlines the path students in the program take within one year of graduation. (based on knowledge rate from 2021 graduate survey)
Accelerated baccalaureate programs offer the quickest route to licensure as a registered nurse (RN) for adults who have already completed a bachelor’s or graduate degree in a non-nursing discipline.
Fast-track baccalaureate programs take between 11 and 18 months to complete, including prerequisites. Fast-track master’s degree programs generally take about 3 years to complete.
The average RN salary is $73,300.
Employment in healthcare occupations are projected to grow 15% from 2019 to 2029.
