MICROAPARTMENT
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
The intent of this project was to design a model apartment in Tulsa Oklahoma for microliving emphasizing sustainability. This project required skillful applications of pre-design, digital graphics, and FF&E documentation.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
Tulsa Oklahoma is a city built from the great oil boom of the 20th century. The focus of this design is to serve as a reflection of modern Tulsa, its surrounding neighborhoods, and everchanging occupants set within the context of historic Tulsa. Inspired by an installation in Tulsa titled, “Windows at Philbrook Museum of Art” which serves as a bridge between what Tulsa was and what it has become. The intent is to create a moody and sophisticated environment that is respectful of the city’s past while celebrating its growth and innovation.

ROW HOUSE
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
The intent of this project was to design a timeless and elegant residence that preserved the structure’s historical character and emphasized sustainability and durability. The main functions of the space in which the design focused on include entertaining and working from home.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The intent of this design is to express what music would look like if you could see it rather than hear it. Music and design have more in common than one might think; they both have the ability to evoke emotions without using any words. Music is universal and timeless; it has a way of creating common ground and bringing people together. Looking back to the time when the residence was constructed, the Walker’s townhouse is inspired by one of the 19th centuries most famous opera singers. Jenny Lind, affectionately referred to as the Swedish songbird, during the romantic period in music. The design of this home will re-imagine the classic sounds of the opera and its accompanying instruments in a new contemporary way.

AMICI 30A ITALIAN KITCHEN
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
Amici 30A Italian Kitchen is owned and operated by my family’s hospitality group. I was influential in concept development and strategic branding, as amici was the first restaurant we opened.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The intent of this design was to create an environment where people felt comfortable to come as they are. This goal influenced the warm color palette, raw, seemingly unfinished, materials, casual seating, and moody lighting. An additional focus was placed on creating a sense of community which inspired the communal style seating and open kitchen concept to bridge the gap between guests and employees and encourage transparency.

AMIGOS 30A MEXICAN KITCHEN
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
Amigos 30A Mexican Kitchen is owned and operated by my family’s hospitality group. I led the concept development and assisted in the execution of the restaurant’s design. During the course of this project, I learned a lot about being flexible and how to compromise when there are space and budget limitations.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The intent of this design was to create a welcoming and vibrant environment that makes everyday dining experiences feel like a celebration. Similar to amici 30A, amigos 30A is a community centered environment, and the goal of making it a gathering place for family and friends is achieved through communal style seating, an open kitchen concept, and the incorporation of bifold doors and expansive windows that invite the outside in.

FRIENDS 30A BURGER BAR
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
Friends 30A Burger Bar is owned and operated by my family’s hospitality group. The project has recently been completed just in time for summer 2024! I worked closely with my family, architects, and RDH Interests Inc. to design this fast-casual burger bar. The goal of this design was to create something that is scalable and will fit in when we expand to other states.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The intent of this design was to create a modern dining experience inspired by the classic fast-casual diner atmosphere. Each Corchis Hospitality Restaurant aims to bring old and new friends together, and we believe telling stories plays an important role in that. This is why we have lined our walls with custom artwork inspired by each place our family has lived collectively and individually over the years in an effort to share our story and connect with new friends through it.

THE LOBBY & ‘LIVING ROOM’ AREA
DESIGN
OBJECTIVES
The intent of this, my senior capstone project, was to complete an adaptive reuse project. The overarching goal was to transform the historic Mandel Brothers’ Department Store in Chicago Illinois, that once resided within these walls, into a luxury boutique hotel. In an effort to honor the buildings history, the new design aimed to reintroduce design elements original to the Chicago School Style Architecture and juxtapose them against more modern design elements in order to create a strong connection between past and present.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The intent of this design is to draw inspiration from the fictional characters, Everett, Rose, and Della Holliday, an affluent family that’s been imagined to have lived in Chicago in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries during a time of urban development and an increased interest in leisure activities. This narrative explores the idea of a family that never missed an opportunity to celebrate. The Hollidays adored hosting parties, and they were known around town for their extravagant home, but they were better known for their generosity. They would throw these parties to celebrate a special event or simply use them as an excuse to spend time with the people they cherished the most. The design will echo these themes of luxury, relationships, tradition, celebration, and timelessness through community centered amenities, partnerships with local artisans, and the reintroduction of historic design features seamlessly intertwined with modern design trends. In the same way the Hollidays opened their home to friends and family, the hotel will open its doors to new friends and family, providing them with a space that will serve as a backdrop for all of their treasured memories to come.

THE HOLLIDAY HOUSE HOTEL
‘THE 100’ RESTAURANT & BAR
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
The design of this restaurant was inspired by the Mandel Brothers’ 100th Anniversary in 1955. To celebrate, the Mandel Brothers adorned the facade of their store with flowers, and they replaced them with each changing season that year. To me, this was such a beautiful way to celebrate, so the floral motifs that are seen throughout this restaurant are intended to remember this past celebration while current guests share a meal and celebrate time spent together.
INSPIRATION
Inspiration drawn from the Mandel Brothers’ 100th Anniversary Celebration can be seen in the floral motifs throughout the dining area and the curved booths, which are reflective of the original store awnings.

DESIGN OBJECTIVES
The design of the guest rooms was again inspired by the Chicago School Style Architecture of the building. The design aimed to reintroduce some of the classic ornamentation through details like dentil molding and millwork designs on both the walls and ceilings. While the facade is intricately ornamented it still maintains a very minimal and clean aesthetic which is ultimately what drove the design of these spaces.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

KEENELAND DEVELOPMENT LABS
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
The intent of this project was to design a modern commercial office for a software development company with a focus on systems furniture, sustainability, and space planning.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The intent of this design is to encourage excellence and creativity by drawing inspiration from Thoroughbred racehorses. Thoroughbred horses are at the center of a rich culture of horse racing in Lexington Kentucky. They were bred for the sole purpose of becoming champions and are known for their intelligence, energy, and strong work ethic, all qualities that mirror those of the Keeneland Development Team. This design will break down the horse’s silhouette including features like its distribution of weight, strong yet curvilinear linework that shapes its form, striking variations in color and pattern, and the equipment like saddles and bits that serve as extensions of its silhouette to inform each phase of the design. The intent is that by implementing some of the defining characteristics of a champion, it will inspire that same level of excellence among the Keeneland Development Labs team.

DESIGN OBJECTIVES
The intent of this project was to communicate a design inspired by a given artist using the principles and elements of design. Skills practiced include SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, and InDesign.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The intent of this design is to bridge the gap between two-dimensional and threedimensional art. The design draws inspiration from artist Sean Scully is known for his large-scale abstract paintings composed of vertical and horizontal lines, patchwork blocks, and geometrical forms. He also emphasizes gradation. Though Scully’s work is quite blocky, it still has a certain level of elegance and sophistication that I plan to bring to the design. The defining features of his work are evident in the materials, furnishings, and finish selections of the law office.
