hello, i’m lilly creativity is my thing
One of the primary reasons I chose the career path of a designer was my fascination with marketing and advertising growing up, and in my sophomore year of college I decided to launch my own faux campaign. With my own re-labeled bottle of expensive perfume, a DSLR camera, two dozen roses, and a bedsheet backdrop I gave myself a second-degree burn ironing, the luxury company Luminara was born!

My imagination has always been my driving force; for a lack of better terms, I’ve been making things since I was a child. Whether it was fantasy realms for my little trinkets to exist in, crayon illustrations, acrylic paintings or parent-approved home murals, I have a lifetime experience of creating.
design objectives
all desired achievements
I am passionate about helping people address their communication needs, elevating ideas with infinite creativity.
• Create an original advertisement campaign for a pretend company.
• Establish a strong brand identity for a faux product.
• Train photography and image editing skills.
• Design advertisements synonymous with hypothetical market competitors.

This project concluded with a graceful embrace of femininity in an eloquent minimalist touch that only the most luxurious and well-renowned companies have the fame to use. Collectively, this campaign was a fantastic self-taught experience, and a demonstration of the importance of effectve branding in marketing. The only casualty was my second-degree photoshoot burn, and the scar left on my arm was worth the results of this experiment.

LOOKING FOR ALASKA COVER REDESIGN
problem
smoke can only say so much
I believed the current cover of one of my favorite books possessed a design so simple it established a little too much ambiguity for readers. I was determined to redesign a cover that would clear up confusion and give readers just enough introductory information to the novel, while keeping the wonders of its plot a mystery.

solution
a trendy approach to draw them in
Paying homage to key elements in the original cover and representing only crucial details in the plot, this stylish cover appeals to the young adult audience most likely to read with its trending minimalist redesign. While the basic facts are laid out, this design doesn’t share too much information, providing first-time readers with the opportunity to be surprised and swept off their feet.

STRIDES MAGAZINE
problem
running magazines feel overwhelming
While researching editorial design, I noticed many athletic publications bore toxic fitness habits praising diets and featuring intimidatingly fit people. But what about the effort it takes to pick up a new sport that comes before six packs? I kept beginners in mind, carefully creating content that would encourage participation and illustrate the joys of exercising.

design objectives
all desired achievements
• Design documents cohesive with each other as well as Herlihy’s established brand.
• Utilize icons in addition to imagery to assist in the visual component of communication.
• Organize information in a layout that is easily understood by target market.
solution
everything you need to know about your insurance
Whether insuring a home, condo, or exploring additional coverages such as cyber safety or homeowners inclusions, this series of infographics informs clients everything they need to know about their policies. Imagery and icons have a heavy presence across all designs to aid in understanding the complexities of insurance verbiage, and all four infographics are bonded together by the strong branding of Herlihy’s signature maroon and black.
HERLIHY INSURANCE GROUP: UNDERSTANDING YOUR HOMEOWNERS POLICY

D. Loss of Use: Helps pay for added expenses or to relocate during claim repairs.
E. Personal Liability: Coverage for law suits.
F. Medical Payments: Covers medical expenses for injuries.
WHAT DOES A HOMEOWNERS POLICY COVER?

FLOOD
WEATHER-RELATED CLAIMS
Like storm damage, wind and hail.
THEFT OR VANDALISM
Policies usually include special limits on collectibles, jewelry, and fine arts items. However, more complete coverage can be purchased. LAWSUITS

Coverage from heavy rain requires a separate policy. Burst pipes are not considered a flood.
EARTHQUAKES
Damage from earthquakes can be added for an additional premium.
NOT FOR HOME MAINTENANCE
Damage due to normal wear and tear, or lack of upkeep is not covered on a homeowners policy.
PERSONAL UMBRELLA POLICY
Covers your home and auto policies to add an extra layer of protection if there is a lawsuit. You can purchase coverage in increments of $1M to $5M depending on your needs.
