The Unexpected Design (2025 W.I.P.)
A current collaboration with Melissa J., founder of The Unexpected Design, to transform her website into a focussed digital portfolio that reflects both her creative versatility and mission. My role includes UX research, information architecture planning, and visual redesign to enhance readability, simplicity, and alignment with her brand identity. A key challenge is translating the core concept of “unexpected” into a user experience that feels intuitive and distinctive.

Lab Digital Workflow Interface (2025)
This was a time-boxed UX challenge completed as part of an interview process. The goal was to redesign a workflow interface for lab managers to improve usability and clarity.
Starting point: Provided with a component library and feature list—no screen design, user flow, or context on lab manager behavior. I led my own research to bridge the gap before designing. + Figma

Brand Design
Private Chef (2025)
Chef Dawoud requested a logo that showcases his culinary expertise while reflecting his unique identity, ensuring it stands out in a competitive industry.
Following his preference for an elegant style that balances fine-dining professionalism with the warmth of a private home cook, I incorporated his distinctive features—his profile and signature knife—into the design. Paired with a bold font, the dark brown conveys sophistication and warmth, while the contrasting touch of lime yellow connects to his broad use of citrus in his recipes and cocktails.

With the logo setting the brand’s tone, I developed a comprehensive brand identity, including a business card and menu template.
Chef Dawoud’s refined brand identity leaves a lasting impression, attracting event hires and loyal customers.

Culinary Event Poster (2025)

The booking-only night at a popular Buxton café showcases the café’s versatility and features Chef Dawoud with his signature dishes. Most attendees would be loyal customers to the café, so I aimed to create a design that felt fresh and exciting while respecting the café’s brand identity. However, while the brand identity of navy-andcream palette with minimal type offered sophistication, it leaned more towards professionalism than appetite. So, I introduced a bold orange accent inspired by the star dish—Rich Prawn Bisque Pasta, contrasting the blue and cream while delivering a sense of indulgence. Using a woodblockstyle artwork, I minimized overwhelming detail and highlighted important elements with bold colours derived from the rich prawn-orange. + Illustrator + Procreate + InDesign
Another collaboration with Chef Dawoud, where I created the artwork, graphic design, and copywriting for an upcoming culinary event’s Instagram poster.

Artwork & Graphic Glasshouse Studios (2024)
In my Architecture studies, we often worked on mock-projects based on assigned locations and themes. We would develop everything from user and environmental research, concept development, to structural designs and visual presentation.
I learned to create impactful graphic presentation through focal points, key words, colour schemes, and typology through these practices. This is one of my manifesto poster designs, created with Photoshop.
Project: Glasshouse Studios.
A community sanctuary of leisure, crafts, and food in the town centre of Barnsley. This project focusses on helping disadvantaged groups deprived of time, resources, and opportunities explore leisure activities in a pay-as-you-can, judgement-free, and relaxing environment. The idea of this central hub stems from the effort to strengthen Barnsley’s community spirit and liveliness through the cycle of learning, growing, healing, and giving back.
