Vegan restaurant x salon
(2023)
As health consciousness rises, vegetarian culture is becoming more integrated into everyday life. Vegan Reso was established with this concept in mind. The space is not just for hairdressing; it's also a place where customers can enjoy a meal during their leisure time.
Address: Meilan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province, China
This site is located in a residential area and boasts approximately 12 kilometers of scenic coastline. The windows mainly face southeast, providing excellent natural lighting.

Fashion and beauty should not be base on animals, we use cruelty free and vegan product.

Hairdressing and vegetarianism may seem like two unrelated elemoents, but in fact, both require careful nurturing, much like soil, in order to thrive. By closely linking these two elements, a cohesive space can be created.

The lines in the ceiling and floor, along with the data-themed private rooms in the center of the space, constantly remind visitors that they are in a virtual world.

Nowadays, it is difficult for people to live in harmony with nature as they once did, because our connection with nature has been severed. A person’s values begin to form gradually from birth. We hope to start with children's education to help the next generation re-establish a connection with nature.

"Who knew school could be so much fun?"
Students can feel a connection with nature, breaking the stereotype of what school is like.
"If nature disappears, what do we have left?"
Understanding that people and nature are inseparable.

"What can we do for nature?"
Consider how to protect the environment and coexist with it, and then take action.
Due to the proximity to Wuta Railway Station, the sound of trains occasionally disrupts classes.
The local temperature rises in summer, with frequent convection rain. The area’s west-to-east descending terrain causes it to rain throughout the year, resulting in lush vegetation.

We aim to maintain a sense of transparency in the classroom spaces, requiring windows on both sides of the units.
By inserting natural spaces between and underneath classrooms, we can return the land to the forest, allowing children to grow up in a natural environment.
Traditional classroom units are typically arranged side by side, making it easy for classes to affect each other.
we chose to insert new areas between classrooms to "isolate sound" and increase the possibility of bringing more nature "inside".
