Nalina is one of the owners of Mana Craft. She shared her story of how she started with a non-environmentally friendly clothing business to becoming the master of sourdough bread. “Before Mana Craft, I was completing my studies and ventured into clothing business. This involved a lot of screen printing and fabric dyeing, which [...] relied heavily on chemical processes,” she recalls.
“I began to feel that this way of working was not only detrimental to my health but also had adverse effects on the environment,”. She started to leran to use natural ingridents to colourize. You can still purchase her cloth on the 2nd floor of Mana Craft.
The lockdowns brought a newfound interest in the art of breadmaking.
“During Covid, it became popular, many people started making bread,” she remembers. Her sister started teaching her how to make sourdough. “I was doing a lot of experimenting with timing and temperature to understand the differences,” as they honed their skills and pushed the boundaries of what can be achieved with flour, water, yeast, and time.
