From the first few who figured out water skiing, to dropping a ski, going barefoot, air chairs and progressing to flips and spins on a wakeboard, adrenaline junkies are always looking for more. There is so much to do on our rivers, lakes and streams, including a few experiences that are a bit more adventurous. isn’t being dragged behind a boat but being shot up into the sky with the power of water. Flyboarding combines the elements of wakeboarding, snowboarding and skateboarding while launching riders some 40 feet up in the air. Utilizing the thrust from a Jet

Ski, water is sent shooting through a long hose and up to a small board to which the rider is strapped in, allowing the pressure to lift the rider from the water. The amount of pressure can be controlled from the Jet Ski throttle or with a component given to the rider. While it might look complicated, many riders are up and hovering after just five to 10 minutes of practice, and those with previous boarding experience also get the hang of it rather quickly. You’ll receive helpful pointers and safe, top-of-the line equipment. Once users get down the basics, spins, flips and dives are all possible with this revolutionary system. Houseboating Lake Roosevelt Why spend a summer weekend at the lake when you can spend it on the lake? With 630 miles of shoreline to explore, a houseboat vacation is a great way to slow life down, take in the scenery and relax in both style and comfort.

The modern houseboats of today come with all the amenities you would expect from a vacation rental or upscale cabin while allowing you the freedom to move from place to place without having to pack up and drive. Houseboat rentals are available at the Kettle Falls Marina at the north end or at the Seven Bays Marina located in the central portion of the lake. Couples or small families can look into the Explorer Class boats, which are 35-feet long, have a bathroom and queen bedroom, and also a couch and table that convert to full-size beds. Need a lot more space for a big group? The Galaxy Class and Supercruiser models check in at over 60 feet in length, have up to five bedrooms and can accommodate as many as 14 guests. Some models feature outdoor wet bars, waterslides and even hot tubs. Each comes with full-size kitchens, living and dining room areas, barbecue grills, radios and TVs, ensuring you’ll have everything you’ll need for a relaxing cruise up and down the lake. Smaller boats can also be rented and towed behind for those who want to explore a little faster or try their luck fishing. Houseboat rentals are available June through the end of September and can vary greatly based on size and proximity to holiday weekends or prime summer weather.
