FLEMINTON STATION

This proposal seeks to address the complex nature of the site as a point where the city link freeway (seen as a foreign/international object) comes in contact with the ground plane and reconnects with the local community before leading to Melbourne CBD. My proposal offers and consolidates this clash and point of convergence and reconnection by architecturally crafting an identity for the node. Thus initiating a gateway for the city, representing the city’s future expansion.
