This is a one-page zine, printed in Risograph. Two colors were used in total, dark blue and light red. It tells the story of a fantastical morning cycle that happened to me during a snooze.
This is a children's picture book about a story that takes place at night. It has a total of four chapters that record the friends the protagonist meets in her dreams. Maybe they will never meet again in the real world, so the author remembers them in this way to thank them for spending a marvellous night with her.
This is the children's illustration cover I designed for the original story I created based on a prompt—- “ When the box opens, they all gasped.”
A rat is living in a box. He is leisurely, happy, and has nothing to do.
One day, the rat is dancing after eating a cheese...
This is a poster for Wapusk National Park, a glacier park in Manitoba, Canada. It is near the Arctic Circle and has many polar bears. The poster has a minimalist style with gradient colours and clean lines.
5.5” x 3.5” x 2” [ A series of 3 ] Independent School Project 2020 Digital Graphic on Print ; 130 lb paper.
“Hidden ; Alter ; Finding” is a series of three digital artworks that drew inspiration from coffee packages. Through the ‘slide open and reveal’ concept for this packaging, I wanted consumers to stay curious and playful. I added illustrations, each with a specific meaning. “Hidden” speaks to the lost and hidden habitats in the forest of green. “Alter” responds to the air quality due to air pollution, and even viruses. "Finding” reacts to our responsibility to find lost species in the sea of blue.
This is an illustration I created after being inspired by procrastination. I decided to use abstraction as a way to gather the causes and solutions of this problem into a “Improve procrastination factory.” I believe procrastination is something that needs to be improved subjectively and subconsciously, so I used gradients and dark tones to represent unconscious areas of the mind.
The illustrations in this series depict scene from my personal life
This is my personal illustration practice. Flower, Water Moon (simplified Chinese:水月镜花 is a Chinese phrase meaning something that can be seen but not touched, like a flower reflected in a mirror or the moon reflected on the water's surface; something that is beautiful but unattainable dreams, a mirage. I tried to experiment with Chinese surrealist style and mural tones in this piece.
This is a little goldfish house I did in my illustration elective. It is a 3d model set combined with my illustrations, photoshop images, and some handcrafts. The work references the style of a Chinese antique store, and the incarnation of a goldfish is imbued with the power of the oriental occult.
Mochi is a humancave monster hybrid who is five years old and has the power to control rocks. He likes to sit alone on the roof of his house and look at the moon, and his favourite food is matcha-flavoured mochi.
