Born and raised in Gwalior, Baijal graduated in hotel management at IHM Hyderabad. With a hospitality career spanning over 17 years, Baijal is respected for his expansive knowledge of the hotel industry, and brings with him to Chandigarh a broad experience of working with a number of Hyatt brands.

Guenter Gebhard General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Guenter Gebhard as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum. He joined the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in from One & Only Hayman Island, which is an award-winning Australian resort located on the Great Barrier Reef. Gebhard brings with him over twenty years of experience in the global luxury hospitality industry. A German national, he speaks a variety of European languages and has a good understanding of Arabic. He brings experience with senior management roles at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco, Atlantis the Palm in Dubai, St. Regis, Bangkok and a global role as Director of Operations, Restaurants & Food and Beverage Operations at Jumeirah Group, together with other assignments in the Middle East, Germany and New York.

Tomoyuki Kiga Chef de Cuisine at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity The 523-room JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity has appointed Chef Tomoyuki Kiga as Chef de Cuisine for its signature restaurant Akira Back which specializes in Japanese cuisine with a Korean essence. Chef Tomoyuki comes with six years of experience in handling kitchen operations and management. After intensive training in culinary arts from L’EcoleVantan in Japan in 2010, he started his career in as Line Cook for Ristorante Aso in Daikanyama, Japan. After spending two years at his first assignment, he moved to Yellowtail in Las Vegas and joined the restaurant as Chef de Partie. Chef Tomoyuki believes that food isn't only just about pleasing one's palate but it can also be the center of one's memories. The desire to not just prepare good food but lasting memories inspired him to become a chef.

Debra Meiburg MW Cathay Pacific Wine Consultant Debra Meiburg has been appointed as the wine consultant for Cathay Pacific Airways. Master of Wine, she is a highly regarded Hong Kong-based wine expert, has become the most recent addition to the airline’s wine panel. Debra Meiburg MW is an award-winning author, educator and international speaker who holds one of the top honours in the wine world, Master of Wine. This is the first time she has teamed up with an airline to select fine wines for the enjoyment of passengers on board. Born in California and a resident of Hong Kong for more than 25 years, Debra has extensive writing, judging and educational experience in the wine world. She was ranked seventh in The Drinks Business magazine’s list of the “Most Powerful Women in Wine” and was named as one of the “7 People to Watch” by Decanter Magazine.

Rohan Kulkarni Sales Manager for Trafalgar in India Rohan Kulkarni has been appointed as Sales Manager for Trafalgar in India. A commerce graduate from Mumbai, Rohan had done his MBA in Travel & Tourism from Kuoni Academy. He has previously worked with organisations like SOTC Kuoni and Thomas Cook India amongst others. With more than 5 years of experience, his new role will entail servicing and engaging the travel trade partners and grow the brand. A keen footballer, he loves to spend spare time with his family and listing to Retro music.
