WHAT IS AYAHUASCA? Ayahuasca is also known as the tea or la purga. It is a drink made out of the leaves of the Psychotria viridis shrub along with the stalks of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine.

HOW IT WORKS Ayahuasca is a mixture made from Banisteriopsis caapi and Psychotria viridis plants. Due to the psychoactive substances in the ingredients, the intake of Ayahuasca can cause changes in the level of consciousness.

WORKING Before participating in the ayahuasca ritual, participants are advised to stop smoking, drugs, alcohol, sex, and caffeine to purify the body.

AYAHUASCA EXPERIENCE Ayahuasca ceremonies are usually presided over by experienced shamans.

Ayahuasca takes between 20 and 60 minutes to take effect, and its effect can last up to 6 hours. Typical effects include visual hallucinations, euphoria, paranoia, and vomiting.

AYAHUASCA HEALING According to current research, Ayahuasca can protect brain cells and stimulate nerve cell growth.

It can also improve mood, improve mindfulness, and treat depression and addiction, although more research is needed to confirm these effects.
