Full-time Senior Event Manager for corporate and private events

As a Senior Event Manager in our groups and events department you design, organise and coordinate bespoke corporate and private events and incentives on a 5* level on Ibiza and Mallorca. Our portfolio includes a wide range of tailor-made itineraries for incentives, meetings and conferences, as well as private events. It offers our highly demanding international clients the opportunity to discover the Balearic Islands, its nature and culture in an authentic and most sustainable way possible.

LifeXperiences is a full-service event agency, offering tailor-made itineraries for 4* and 5* incentives, meetings and conferences, and private events on the Balearic Islands. We are a very small close knit team of 12 staff, passionate about planet and people. Through our Xperiences we endeavour to inspire guests to reconnect with themselves and become passionate about the environment. Given the unprecedented times we are living in, more and more clients recognize the need to actively participate in the regeneration of our planet. As a company we strive to become leaders of change as we commit to finding sustainable solutions across our entire value chain, establishing best practices for the travel industry.

We are aiming for the Balearic Islands to become a fully sustainable tourist destination by 2025 and are now looking to expand our Individual Luxury Travel Department with a new Senior Event Manager who can support the team build on our success to reach that goal.

Your role

As a Senior Event Manager you will be responsible for the autonomous conception, budgeting, organisation and coordination of on-site multiday corporate and private events primarily on Ibiza as well as on Mallorca. During all event phases you will be the sole contact for our corporate and private clients: from first contact to post event communication. This includes creating complete bespoke multi-day itineraries for all group-sizes, considering all logistic details, budget and customer requirements, and processing all event-based accounting.

Furthermore, you will maintain a comprehensive database and overview of all events, following best practices as well as improving work processes where possible to increase efficiency. This includes, but is not limited to, developing product portfolio by researching and contacting new potential partners, communicating and negotiating with providers and partners, as well as developing the department in order to increase sales based on our company values.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Event Manager for corporate and private events with more than three years of work experience in a similar position.

As an ideal candidate, you possess strong communication skills in both English and Spanish. Fluency in other languages like German is considered a plus. It is highly desirable for you to already be familiar with the Balearic Islands, but if not, a willingness to quickly learn about the region is expected. Effective time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial to the success of this role. Exceptional problem solving and independent decision-making skills are also important. A background in sales in the MICE industry is preferred. You should have experience in dealing with demanding international corporate and private clients.

We are seeking a candidate with a structured and organized way of working, who always strives for excellence. Additionally, the candidate should be innovative, able to delegate and coordinate where necessary, excel in sales and negotiation as well as demonstrate knowledge on price structures.
