Travelling with Children - Travelling with children can be a delightful experience provided you are well prepared! - Make sure you check opening times in advance. Getting there and finding it closed is no fun - Always arrange a meeting point in case any of you get lost - Take along non messy food and drink (bottles of water or cartons of juice), plastic bag with damp cloth or wet wipes, an extra plastic bag for rubbish or sickness and waterproofs - On longer journeys, gather a supply of games and puzzles. Brush up your singing games and 'I Spy' - If possible, try going on expeditions in the early morning (maybe having breakfast en route) - If you go exploring often, keep a checklist to be consulted before each expedition - Don't forget buckets and spades for sandpits, suitable food for feeding ducks, plastic bags for interesting finds, kites, model boats and a storybook for any waiting moments
