Dr. Marignani expands clinical space

W
hether it’s a tummy tuck, tweaking the shape of a chin or breast reconstruction following cancer surgery, clients receive professional and caring treatment from London plastic surgeon Dr. Marilena Marignani. “I offer a complete menu of cosmetic and surgical solutions for skin conditions and aesthetics,” she says. “My goal is to help people revitalize, rejuvenate, renew, look and feel their best and realize their natural potential.” Evidence of her success can be seen in a need to expand her clinical space. While she performs surgeries at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, many other treatments are carried out in her office clinic. In July, this will move
from its current location on Oxford Street West to the new North London Medical Centre on Fanshawe Park Road West. There she will also be able to add new services, such as more laser procedures. With a medical degree from Western University combined with plastic surgery training at the University of Alberta and certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Marignani offers an allencompassing range of treatments. “As a plastic surgeon, I do facial rejuvenation. I can provide things like Botox and fillers, but also surgical procedures like eyelid surgery, facelift or brow lift.” A major specialty is breast surgery for a variety of reasons, like post-can-
cer reconstruction or augmentation or reduction for cosmetic reasons. Along with tummy tucks, it’s one of the most common requests she hears. One reason for this may be her gender. When it comes to personal body areas, like breasts and abdomen, many women feel more comfortable with a female doctor, she says. But she also puts stock in her people skills. “I really listen and try to understand what the client wants and then to be honest in making sure they understand what I can give them. When the two match, it works well.” Marignani also offers a line of skin care products.
