Summer Opportunities Be prepared for whatever weather comes our way! In the past few years, the British summer has been a wash out for many in more ways than one. With hot weather spells few and far between, the Retail trade has never had a chance to fully benefit from a decent summer trade and has suffered as a result. However, with the economy still fragile, the British public are foregoing their holidays abroad in favour of staycations. Whilst this may be bad news for travel agents, it is certainly good news for British Retailers, who have the chance to boost sales with a proper British summer season. Come rain or shine, with more people holidaying at home, the local shop needs to be ready to make the most of these coming months so that a one-off top up visit to your store converts to a loyal and regular Customer.
