If you want to lose weight, become healthier and fitter, these are my top 6 tips to get you started. 1. Exercise at least 3 times weekly. Strength training should be the core of your exercise programme. It’s true what they say, the more muscle you have the more calories you burn, so start lifting! My goal is always to get clients stronger. You burn more calories, you feel better, you look better, you improve confidence and more. 2. MOVE... keep active. Invest in a pedometer and aim for at least 10,000 steps a day. 3. Eat Clean...don’t diet. The one thing everyone struggles with...food. To lose weight it is approximately 70% clean eating and 30% exercise. Include plenty of fruit and vegetables. Also include plenty of protein. Protein keeps you feeling fuller for longer and is a key player in fat loss. Keep a food diary for a couple of weeks, this will allow you

4. Drink plenty of water. Aim for a least 1 ½ - 2 litres a day. Even more the days you are exercising. 5. Get enough sleep. Your body needs sleep and rest to recover. 8 hours of sleep per night should be your goal. Getting plenty of sleep is imperative for fat loss. 6. Try incorporating one or two good habits into your lifestyle to start with, then add more gradually. Small daily improvements are the key to long-term results. Be disciplined and be consistent and you will get results!
