Tim Harmon is a believer -certainly, a believer in God; but also, a believer in Lifeline.
“Addiction is a real issue,” he said. “Good people sometimes make bad decisions and find themselves in a position they didn’t mean to get in.”
“I’ve seen it work with multiple people through the years,” he said. “I’ve seen people’s lives transformed.” Tim, a licensed hearing instrument specialist and owner of Purchase Ear Technology, is an elder and a former worship leader at Faith Center Paducah.
As he considered what organizations he should support financially, the Christ-based Lifeline was at the top of the list; so he sends a check at the first of every month. Tim Harmon, donor
“That kind of program is going to be effective because it has the power of God behind it,” he said. “The Lord laid it on my heart to sow into that, and I’ve watched firsthand for years how effective it is.”
WAYS TO GIVE TO LIFELINE Monthly
Through IRAs
Lifeline invites you to consider becoming a monthly donor to help you and Lifeline in budget planning.
Making a gift from your IRA, known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), is a tax-free way to support Lifeline, even if you don’t itemize deductions on your tax return.
By making a monthly gift, you create a sustainable impact in the lives of more than 150 clients each year as they fight addiction. You will receive updates and a consolidated annual tax receipt. Your support provides a predictable revenue stream to assist Lifeline in strategic decisions to grow in excellence as an organization. It’s a flexible and convenient way for you to help restore lives and transform your community.
If you’d like to become a monthly donor or learn more, reach us at: info@lifelinerecovery.com
This option is available to those 70.5 years or older with a traditional IRA, inherited IRA, inactive Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) plan and inactive Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees (SIMPLE) IRAs. A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian directly to a qualified charity, such as Lifeline, a 501 (c)(3). We encourage you to speak with your financial advisor to see if this is appropriate for you in 2020 to help Lifeline clients find Christ-centered solutions to addiction.
