Through IRAs
Making a gift from your IRA, known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), is a tax-free way to support Lifeline, even if you don’t itemize deductions on your tax return.
This option is available to those 70.5 years or older with a traditional IRA, inherited IRA, inactive Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) plan and inactive Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees (SIMPLE) IRAs.
A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian directly to a qualified charity, such as Lifeline, a 501 (c)(3).
We encourage you to speak with your financial advisor to see if this is appropriate for you in 2020 to help Lifeline clients find Christ-centered solutions to addiction.
