Here is a photo of our new ‘since lockdown’ rescue dog Grimm having a gentle moment with my son Lloyd. Grimm was badly treated in his old home and is now slowly getting over his nervousness of men and fear of being abandoned. He absolutely loves his walks and is never far from a tennis ball, he spends hours chasing them and will often snooze with one in his mouth. He has had a sniff and wag (and occasional bark) party with most dogs of the area in Willet Rec over the past few months and thanks to all the patient owners who let Grimm meet their dogs. Marriage
Marriage is a special thing It makes us feel complete. We’ve found the one we love the most From all the men we meet. But here’s some things we won’t admit, And I think it’s time we do. So let me list them for you, here is just a few. Men have selected hearing, Unless you mention sport. He cannot find the washing machine Or the washing left to sort. He forgets to buy you flowers or bring you home a treat. And what an earths that awful smell that’s coming from his feet? He always fails to notice when you’ve done things to your hair. You’re going out and looking nice and taken extra care. But then he will surprise, you by doing something nice. Bringing you a cup of tea or giving you advice. He carries heavy shopping and drives you to the station. It is the little things in life that fill you with elation. So relish your relationship, it’s really rather great. Although we think they’re useless, we thank God for our first date! Jackie Langridge
