Familiar Disintegrate
This image is from a creepypasta call “The backrooms”. It was a maze of randomly generated office rooms. Without the furniture that a normal office has, it create a disturbed atmosphere.
A theory call “Uncanny Valley” is saying if a thing that is so similar with people but not. It makes people feel scared and disturbed. In the example of backrooms, I think it also make senses in spaces. Unknown experiences can be create when a important element was lack in a familiar space. Since you discovered the unusual, every things after will be a sensory shock.

This is a project trying to make a walking on water installation doubles as photographic set. Compare to the big surroundings, the cube is so small. Athough it only covered a small part of the ocean, it reflects almost all of the surroundings inside and changes the atmosphere of the space.
In my opinion, the feelings which the sea coverd mirror cube create are same as the solar eclipse phenomenon, especially for the ancient that didn’t know how solar eclipse happened.
