At eight o´clock in the morning,
Gretel´s alarm clock starts ringing. It´s time for her to wake up,
she wonders what the day´s bringing. At a quarter past eight,
Gretel has breakfast on a plate, then she goes to school fast,
she doesn’t want to be the last.
A las ocho en punto de la mañana,
la alarma del reloj te acompaña. Es la hora de levantarse

When both clock hands point to twelve, Gretel knows it must be noon,
it´s time for lunch with the spoon. Gretel is very hungry,
she eats so as not to get angry

The afternoon is Gretel´s favourite part of the day. The hands on the clock say three, it´s time to swim in the sea, to climb a tree,
in other words, time to be free.
La tarde es la parte del día preferida de Gretel,
cuando las agujas del reloj marcan las tres,
sale al parque con su amiguete,
juegan siempre junto al ciprés. Juega con Montana el plátano

At half past seven the night is coming soon, you can see the stars and the moon, it´s time to have dinner
the day has been a winner. At nine o´clock the day has gone, she gets into bed and yawns, as she turns out the light, she says, «good-night!».
A las siete y media de la tarde,
empieza a salir la luna llena,
ya es la hora de la cena.
A las nueve en punto bosteza
se pone el pijama y se mete en la cama,
